No, there is another reason.
Using agoraphobia is a cheap way to make a character seem interesting. Using the same old trope of a character who cannot use her powers but suddenly becomes godlike with them is lame (we all know it is coming). It is not the fact she is female, the fact she is human; it is the fact she is just another bullshit character using mental illness as a cheap way to seem complex. It is old and overdone.
She is nothing more than Sentry 2.0.

Every human GL besides Guy. They have so many other interesting characters they can work with and of the Earth Lanterns Guy has the most character and depth. Green Yellow merge is a step in the right direction IF they keep going with it (as if). But I want to see more of as many non human Lanterns of any colour as possible.

That's the thing. Ch'p was capable of using his ring to turn invisible as well as intangible, a pair of tricks most Lanterns could pull off back in the 70's. He was given credit for learning to do that because the squirrel didn't have formal training in his initial adventures and didn't know what was and what was not possible with a ring.
A lot of those abilities including time travel were nuked later, but some of them weren't. A creative lantern in current writing would return to that line of thought - "I need something to happen, I need the ring to do X, and I have no clue if it can work until I practice."

Being able to fly and throw zaps in any physical form you can think of is 2 dimensional as all fuck and needs to end.

But that's what it is highlighted with Power Ring

Like if you make a scale where -5 is biggest coward pushover, 0 is normal, and +5 is Guy Gardner on his 3rd beer and looking for his 4th.
Most people are naturally at 0 and where they are now determines how far they are from that natural mid point

Jessica though is naturally set to -4. That's her natural point. Right above the bottom. Just barely.
Just getting to normal human functionality is a change of +4. Huge change.

Power Ring sets the wearing to that -4 point. For a regular person, that's world destroying. Can't work with that.
But for Jessica, that's just status quo.
That's what makes it good.
