Blacksad has a god tier art sure but a very simple plot, it's basically overrated just because of the art.

Why do people always give Blacksad's story such a bad rep? It's no masterpiece in storytelling, but it's not anything bad either, the character's are usually interesting and the scenarios aren't that predictable imo

The original English editions from what o hear where kinda shit since they were straight up translation that make the dialogue a little weird but the dark horse releases had the much better new translation to English which is more accurate to what the books story is saying

It's great if you aren't familiar with PI stories but it lacks the narrative complexities of the genre, like I said it's fine as a sort of baby step into the genre but there's way better written stuff out there
