The ending could have been a lot better

They certainly could have skipped a few silly Indiana Jones scenes to give the reboot-ending more breathing room.

Literal power of friendship ending, but it wasn't necessarily bad. I wish it could've continued with the Lovecraft stuff Harlan Elison set up in the end.

At least it ended with more dignity than Gravity Falls and had more lasting repercussions of the all powerful demonic entity unleashed into the world
