Of course. But you cannot just admit humanity as a religion.
You see, everything in religion is about theology. The way you read into your book actionable and relevant information about what your god wants and extrapolate that into concrete rulings and requirements. Then all you do is go with a bunch of those ideas and solidify your religion by making people think and do the same things for the same supposed reasons. If you have people think and do things differently, your religion drifts apart or cracks, diminishing your power over them and creating a rival interpretation.
Everything in religion is about theology. Except theology. Theology is about power.
