Because a lot of the memorable moments were funny to us as kids because it was so cartoonish and exaggerated but, now that we're adults (I guess), we realize that these ridiculous moments are grounded in reality. Somehow this sentient dish sponge and his companions were more relatable than most human characters.
Also, the non-relatable moments were still fucking hilarious.

The comic timing and music ques are the best in any cartoon ever. It took everything good about Ren And Stimpy and perfected it. It's fast paced but not too fast, like a lot of youtube cartoons are (like psychicpebbles' videos can be).
