The pic actually isn't as bad as it first appears, or more appropriately is bad but for perhaps unexpected reasons.

This pic attached is almost surely the inspiration, Arnold Schwarzenegger posing during his bodybuilding days. But Liefeld doesn't understand perspective so you get the awful rendition he provided. Its not so much that Liefeld thought that body was possible, he thought that perspective was workable.

All-around he is an awful, awful artist, OP's pic is just an example of why he is awful but in a different way from his, say, being unable to draw hands and feet.
