So I'm saying some people read the translation as Darkseed and some people heard it said direct as Darkseid and the Apokoliptans decided to meet them in the middle and have either translation work so long as you die for him.

I'm not OP, and I always pronounced it Darkside in my head. The second I came across someone else who thought it Darkseed instead of getting in their face I just thought that hey, maybe that could be part of the thing that makes him unearthly.
