I am a Germanfag, we have summercamps around here and everyone talks about them, not spending your time in a summercamp basically means you are "that guy". But this kind of stuff seems to be incredibly regional, it is pretty big in some villages while being pretty much nonexistent in the village 20 kilometers away. The way I remember it, Antonucci actually went out of his way to ensure it was produced at his own studio in Vancouver, and not have it be made by Cartoon Network. The art and voices were done at a.k.a., then the drudge animation was outsourced to Asia as per usual, and it was all edited and finished back in the studio again.
