I get lifting the combat and design from Arkham, I wish they wouldn't but I get it. It was a game-changer for cape games so everyone's gonna lift from it just like Nolan's movies.

But did they really have to put in the most Arkham-style Spidey villain possible and give him an entire cast of henchmen with Arkham-style henchmen masks? That almost seems like they went out of their way.

What would you rather have the combat be like, though? Arkham combat has a flow to it, something Spidey really needs. Look at SM2 and WoS combat, at least on the ground - it's clunky af. Spidey needs something to showcase his agility and power, and the ASM games pretty much failed on that.

Honestly, I don't know what other combat system there could be for the character, but there's a good chance that if they started from scratch it could have been... bad. They have a mould now, but can still deviate from it. We have until 2018 after all.

Yhe combat was fun af though. You could sprint for once, run down cars and super uppercut or shoulderbash enemies into the air.

Plus all of the different attacks you could use like web hanger and the varied ground attacks, or the special spider reflex moves.You could do aerial acrobatics on your own and actually DODGE gunfire as much as you wanted, unlike SD where it was bugged as fuck.Not to mention you could upgrade your swinging speed to get really fast. In a way, yes. The Young Ultimates were formed around him and Jessica. That team book was a direct split off from his book. Not him, but I liked that Miles was someone stepping into huge shoes. Peter was a legend who had died that he had to live up to and his early stories were centred around whether he could or should even have to live up to that legacy. His supporting cast, though small isn't utter dogshit too. I like Ganke as a side character and I like that his uncle is a career costumed criminal.

Miles isn't a stellar character, I wouldn't even dream of saying so, but he does have some decent elements about him.
