Because, like anime, comic books are stylistically appealing. Which is why MvC3 looked so good, they were trying to capture that comic book feel. Now with these movies? It's gritty, terrible coloring, and very gruff. So when you try to emulate that it looks like shit instead of the fun colorful stuff you had before. nope, the game play for those games are so bad that it makes the game suck from a playing stand point. I'd rather play katamari than touch DOA because the game is MUCH funner from a playing perspective. Graphics aren't nearly as important for a good game as making something play well.

This DBZ game has almost NOTHING in common with all the other DBZ games out there. It is being developed by Arc System Works. They are the same company that developed the Guilty Gear series and the Blaz Blue series and are considered fighting game experts.

Okay, I get this game looks good and all, but mechanically speaking, this looks pretty much just like UMvC3, whereas MvCI looks like something at least somewhat new. Mechanically speaking, I love what they've done with it but the roster and DLC are what's holding the game back. It's a damn shame. If they'd just made the default roster better and included in-game Fight Money like SFV, I don't think people would have a big problem with the game, production values aside.
