Wonder Woman is the better fighter but Supes has her beat in terms of raw power, speed and range. The only reason it looks close in the comics is because Supes keeps going for hand to hand combat which is her specialty. If he stood back and fucked with the weather while raining heat vision on her, she'd be deader than a doorknob.

Superman would be stronger if he didn't hold back.

Doomsday was wrecking her shit every time Superman wasn't there to hold it's attention. After she cut off it's hand it hit her with heat vision, and she actually took it. And she did nothing for 45 seconds after that, the next time we see her she's lassoing him. Her beast feat of strength is holding up a 33 ton tank, Superman dragged a massive ship on it's side. And if you look at how fast Faora was on Man of Steel, Kryptonians are faster than Wonder Woman too.

People are forgetting that Superman has a hidden weakness, the Writer.
The Writer will try desesperately to scale him to his opposition because there would be no story otherwise.
That's why if he fights against WW, she'll be able to hit him in the face, but if he fights against Batman, he'll still be hit in the face. His superspeed always fails him when it comes to dodging punches from superfriends.

Sometimes the Writer is smart about it. I remember WW sending Batman uncounscious into the Sun to force Superman to break the fight and go save his bat-ass.

And sometimes the Writer remembers that Supe has a brain and makes him scary. If he was breaking arms and legs at superspeed, he wouldn't be much fun to read so I prefer stories where Superman is going his own way and doing cosmic-stuff rather than punching people.
