Probably a bit of both. One of the theories around here is that Filoni does have material for more than just four seasons, but due to the way the show's dynamic is changing (not to mention coming up really close to ANH and the question of Ezra and Kanan's involvement now likely being a pressing issue) he might be deciding to end Rebels and do a sequel series with a different focus. So he'd still be using those ideas he had for seasons 5/6/7/etc but for a different show.

What are your odds on any of the Imperials actually dying in season 4 of Rebels? Pryce isn't malicious enough in the show to be worth killing off, and everyone would complain till the end of time if Thrawn dies in the show. I don't know how they can really give a big personal blow to the Empire if they can't lose their two remaining characters. Thrawn and Pryce could run away, but that seems too weak for the series to end on.

Not the guy who went to EA play but the content that's been presented today suggested that they aren't. Off the top of my head we've seen a clone with a SE-14 (OT) and battledroids with a Blurrg-1120 (Hera's gun) and a FWMB-10K (ST).

The fact that the deluxe class bonuses are also from a range of eras also indicates to me a lack of era/faction gating.

I should also note that we all played with PS4 controllers. It might have been running on PS4s but there weren't any there so PC is probably more likely.

I play on PC so that's why I can't really say for sure how BF2017's feel compares to BF2015 since this was the first time I used a PS4 controller in years.

Also, the very first thing I did when I had enough points was get in a vulture droid to see if they got rid of the awful hamstrung flight controls of BF2015 that didn't even let you roll at will. Thankfully they did and ships now fly like they did in the old BFs. Though I think they might have removed the one button push evasive maneuvers.

I tried the MTT, but not the AAT.

MTT is on a fixed path and as the gunner you basically can only shoot what's in front of you. The guns can aim off to the left and right by a bit, but you're not going to be shooting anything that's directly to your side. It's similar to being the AT-AT gunner minus the orbital strikes.

I don't think they're completely sentient, but they do seem to have a basic copy of Sheev's consciousness in them, but they have specific programming and orders. IIRC the one in Empire's End seemed to be able to respond and talk and answer questions to Sloane.

They get sent out to various high-ranking Imperials with orders that, unknowing to each of them, will simultaneously tear both the Rebellions and Empire apart, and rubbing salt in the wounds of his enemies.

The Sentinals also were responsible for rendezvousing some Imperials in the unknown regions mapped out by Thrawn so that they (and presumably Vader who Sheev did not expect to turn and die) could rebuild as the First Order.

I'm going to be honest, as time goes on I think we'll see that what JJ did and what the Story Group are doing are two VERY different things. Consider that Pablo was surprised to see stuff like the Resistance being cut off from the New Republic in the opening crawl, and it becomes obvious that for one reason or another the Story Group had much less input on TFA than they've had on subsequent entries in canon.
I'm of the opinion this is primarily down to the speed with which TFA was made, having gone from the barest concept to being in full production in a little under two years or so, and to the SG not really being as concrete a thing as it is now

He did something similar with Star Trek, with Old!Spock viewing Vulcan's collapse from Delta Vega, a planet lightyears away. But the thing with that is that 1) The scene was from a freaky mind-trip sequence, so maybe not every visual should be taken 100% literally and 2), really just an extension of 1, Spock is psychic, and has felt mass death before, and maybe his "watching" of Vulcan's destruction was just a psychic experience, like when he felt that all-vulcan starship blow up in the original series.

But there's no way the scene in TFA can be taken as anything but 100% literal. If it was JUST Finn, than maybe. Since Finn is (probably, not 100% sure) force sensitive, maybe he felt the deaths of Hosnian Prime, much like Obi-Wan felt the deaths of Alderaan. And maybe the scene would have been metaphorical. But no. EVERYONE saw it. And reacted to it. Including explicitly non-force sensitives like Han and Chewie. Including the fucking droids. Everyone looked up into the sky, and witnessed a planet lightyears away get destroyed as if it was the fuckin' moon.

Disney and Kathleen actually asked JJ twice to direct, because Spielberg had "heavily recommended" him.

When they realize that shit was dragging on, they allowed JJ to come in along with Bad Robot, meaning Lucasfilm had to take a side seat.

The plus side is it meant they got to focus on Rebels and Rogue One and other things all being pretty great and connecting well together.

The down side is that JJ's TFA ended up being so disconnected from everything else that it almost doesn't even feel like Star Wars. TPM felt way more connected to the greater Star Wars universe than TFA did.

Think about it. TPM had new (and actually original) locations, along with a location from the original movies, AND a location from the Expanded Universe, even though Lucas didn't consider the EU canon. TFA on the other hand just felt like a modern ANH remake. It wasn't connected to anything, it was just the same story retold with shinier graphics.

However we can take solace in the fact that JJ is gone. Lucasfilm are in complete control of the next 4 upcoming movies, and we have no reason that's ever going to change again. TFA's development was pretty much entirely Disney panicking that the Star Wars hype would die down if they didn't get a nostalgic and safe movie in theaters before 2016, so they bent over for JJ.

The DC-15 (or DC-15A in Legends) IS a heavy blaster. Extremely long range and powerful. It's equivalent to a modern battle rifle. A DC-15A (DC-15S for Legends) is the carbine variant with shorter range and power.

It's like the difference between an M-14 and a M4A2 or M1 Garand and an M1 Carbine.
