What happen to PKNA / Duck Avenger, Idw has stopped the publication?

It was too good for this world.

In reality, the original italian comic just stopped production like 10 years ago cause the second serie sold like shit and it costed too much.
They recently revived it in a few stories in the weekly Mickey Mouse magazine

It's sales were pretty bad so IDW scrapped it. I think that IDW should of waited until the Ducktales reboot came out to release the Disney Comics line, that would of helped keep sales going for a little while.

It's very good. Each issue is basically a self-contained graphic novel, but a few build up to larger arcs later down the line. And for the record, he doesn't just fight aliens, he fights pretty much the whole super hero gauntlet of goonery.

Disney comics aren't meant to be bought from an LCS, which is often adults or young adults. The business model is bad for them, and titles like Duck Avenger really depend on an already solid reader base that can get invested in the idea. You can't do it if loads of people aren't already reading Donald Duck, and Americans aren't. IDW kept going for niche titles without realizing that those titles exist in a different comic book culture.
