The animation is bush league (Enid's thighs were way too thick in episode 6's preview). The compositions are pretty lame. The characterizations are shitty and generic. Enid is Squidward's contempt side, Rad is Squidward's vapid side, and KO is spongebob with testosterone. The music feels sleazy, yet fun at times; better than SU but not by much (although I could be biased because that old black r&b they play on WBLS leaves a sour taste in my mouth).

They're actually handling the overarching plot well, though, introducing individual elements like Boxman and KO's relationship with his coworkers with full episodes so that they're given more time to be fleshed out. That works better than stuffing bit all in one episode, and feels more natural. I don't get why /co/ is getting so triggered by it, actual shows like Breaking Bad and Dexter did this exact same thing, it's about time cartoons get structured and flesh themselves out. You should be encouraging this.

I can see the kids loving this show, it'll sell the app and other vidya planned for it.

I'm liking what I'm seeing so far but it's distracting me how simplistic the hands are drawn. It's good for doodles but not like... a finished product yknow? Having a simplistic art style isn't an excuse to skimp on the hands

I'm fairly certain it's just going to be forgettable. It's going to be what Star vs would've been without the autists keeping it in /co/'s consciousness because of how much they want to fuck the main character.

Nobody wants shitty 80s gaming and 90s anime references anymore. Kids can't relate to it and older people can get it literally anywhere else these days. This will probably be of decently high quality, but at the same time will probably be the swan song of the 2010s Adventure Time Steven Universe movement.

They don't seem to get that the show already has a way to defeat gems without killing them (proofing/bubbling), which makes Bismuth's plan look extreme and unnecessary. Why would you bother with shattering, when poofing stills gives you a chance to convince former enemies to join your cause? Nevermind the fact that the last time a diamond got murdered, it only made things worse for every gem on Earth.
