Even disregarding the Milestone characters, why is DC so much

I just want Firestorm to be in the DCEU. Firestorm and Blue Beetle (Jaime) are my favorite DC characters, and they're massively underrepresented.

DC usually makes them characters that aren't solely defined by their race. They have something else to focus on besides how they are black.

for example Cyborg has his "I'm a freak machine man!" angle and dad issues.
