Ignoring Ashi and the final episodes where the guardian is found dead, the ending should have been much different, and this is how:
>Scottsman and other characters from previous seasons rally up to aid jack on a final assault on Aku
>the battle wages on as bettledrones, aku's minions and bounty hunters fight against Jack's friends, while Jack himself fights Aku
>Aku has developed new tricks over the years to avoid getting hit by tthe sword, but his lack of encounters with Jack make him still as predictable as ever
>before the final blow is struck, Aku says something like this:
>"it doesn't matter you fool, the sword doesn't have the power to slay me forever, I'll be back"
>Jack realises this, but unable to figure out how to completely destroy Aku, puts him back in the stone prison
>Aku's forces are weakened, they too are defeated
>The victory is celebrated
>Jack and the Scottsman now wander the world cleaning it up from Aku's evil deeds, evil creatures and evil robot factories
>The years start to catch up to Jack
>Many years later, Jack is considered one of the Kings of the new world
>On a mission to destroy another of Aku's factories Jack finds a familiar place
>The lake where he find one of the traveling creatures
>He remembers the way back to the Guardian's lair, however the creatures that led him there are gone
>His friends and subordinates go with him
>Jack finally finds the portal and the Guardian is waiting for him
>"So you have finally decided to return for a rematch, Samurai? This wont be any easier than last time"
>Jack signals his friends to let him fight on his own, they stand and watch
>The battle begins
