In a wild universe filled with space-faring psychics, lost civilizations, mecha, and superstitions, two fraternal twins of wildly different lifestyles reunite when their father passes on and leaves them his mysterious ship and courier service.

Together with the ship's Amnesic AI avatar and an alien anthropologist, these two are gonna need to learn to work out their differences and work together to finish their father's incomplete deliveries and uncover the mysteries behind it all. Their journey will lead them from the thronerooms of galactic royalty, the depths of the criminal underworld, into bizarre and beautiful worlds, into distant and forgotten reaches of deep space, and into...

The Wild Aether Yonder.

Cooking show for kids that teaches recipes, nutrition and health benefits to a proper diet in an hero adventure style environment.

People that are hungry or have bad eating habits turn into themed monsters and its up to a group kids aiming to be chefs to turn them human again by preparing a healthy but tasty dish.

Kids are multi-ethnic a la Captain Planet.
Includes French Girl Scout who's overly prepared and a bit OCD.
An obese boy who, over the course of the series, will lose weight to being just chubby, Korean.
Sporty girl, who realizes that athletes need good nutrition, hispanic.
A nerdy glasses kid who is really into molecular gastronomy and the science of cooking, black.
Generic white male lead, starts off being the first monster, is the dumb main character that learns the importance of healthy eating.

Real chefs will guest star and teach kids lessons, also each episode has a song.

It's a surprisingly solid premise; in-over-their-head bluecollar guys with mostly their wits and grit end up plunged into a supernatural world where their skills somehow still translate.

I'd give it a one season trial for sure.

Torn between suggesting it be aired prime-time and be an adult cartoon comedy (doesn't help I imagine one of the characters basically being dale gribble from king of the hill) or a kid's show.

>>93066513

>Cooking show for kids that teaches recipes, nutrition and health benefits to a proper diet in an hero adventure style environment.

So, a modern dungeon menshi for kids, perhaps?

I like this. I think if I were a producer I'd be willing to give this a season or two-

>also each episode has a song.

Here's a contract for as many seasons as you want, but I'd like a minimum of five 26 episode seasons.

>Set in early colonized Australia (1800ish), the English government sends a team of occult specialists and a new intern to the new land to uncover any magic. Basically Hellboy/ Atomic Robot but Australian

I'd watch that show's first season and continue to wonder about it after its climactic season finale cliffhanger just before cancellation (or the sporadically airing second and final season that deepens the characters and lore and changes how we think about everything).

In a distant post-post-apocalyptic future where a cataclysmic event shattered the world, a petty aristocratic thief and her overly aggressive lower class partner in crime along with a self-righteous wannabe heroic fugitive monk take to the high seas of the Great Lakes looking for adventure and trouble.

Brother crows
Takes place in medieval times. Three brothers grow up as bastards support their mom one a blacksmith, two a thief(which is frowned on but hey money), and the last a stable boy for a knight.

One day they come home to find it on fire, they go in looking for their mom. The next morning they wake up, but something is off. They are now crows, a witch appears before them and tells them. That they are actually bastards of the king and he burned down their house to assure the kingdom to his new son. The witch cursed them as they were dying into being crows until they can reach the kingdom and assume their rightful place. She drips blood on each of the giving them one red feather. The red feather can temporarily turn them human shortly but then fades a little, if it were to fade completely they would be stuck in that form.

The end/ the twist
They finally confront the king. He reveals he is actually the son of the king that burned down their house. The witch was actually the mom who grew old and scornful of her dead sons. The brothers aren't actual brother, but just random cursed crows. During this reveal a king's archer kills them.

The young witch cries over the crows bodies giving them a white feather. The white feather allows them to stay human. After they decide to give up their vengeance and live normal lives with wife and a family. The youngest brother ends up marrying the young witch.

>>93068473
Seems like it has potential to be funny, if you get the premise right.

Here's my idea. I posted it in the previous cartoon idea thread, in case somebody would ask:

The show would star a wide-eyed little girl who's rather loopy, spacey, and eccentric. Due to her personality, she's deemed certifiably insane and sent to a gloomy old mental asylum in the woods, with nights lasting longer than days and strange architecture. She adjusts rather easily, though she insists that she isn't insane. She soon meets the patients of the asylum, with varrying mental quirks, as well as the staff, who don't seem much saner.
>>
>>93068581
That could be interesting, but mental issues are hard to show well. You could do it like Batman, where everyone in mentally ill. Or perhaps in a more dark humor way. I can see it working in Adult Swim or something similar.

My idea:

The year is 2062. Technology has advanced to the point where everyone can connect directly to a computer to play immersive virtual reality games (it's not SAO I swear). However, there's no AI, and the same technology than exists is used to deeply spy on everyone. A mysterious game appears in shadowy parts of the net, and of the people who play it, 10% die, 85% have no effect, 5,9% result in gaining superhuman reflexes and fighting ability, and 0,1% gain some sort of supernatural powers (controlling fire, phasing through walls, electric blasts, etc).

The show follows several people who achieve enhanced abilities and a few ones who gain these supernatural powers. At first, most of them think they can become super heroes, but slowly they start to divide into factions, especially as some of them decide that becoming villains is a lot more fun. It culminates in disaster for everyone.

There's also some background story as to how the mysterious game came into being by race of strange otherworldly monsters and the fact that they quickly discover that they must use their powers or face even worse consequences.

Its A girl scouts vs Boy scouts gang war cartoon

Main Setting:Typical Suburban Middleclass medium size city neighborhood.

The Macguffin: Member back in elementary school when they would have those "Sell this many candy bars and you will get some bullshit prize" basically that but bigger in scale like your whole troop gets to go to disneyworld or Brand new Bikes.

The "Drugs": Cookies, Candies, Homeade key chains, other random shit scouts would sell.

Weapons: Anything kid related like Taking out each other during a dodgeball game, Getting someone sick with chicken pox, Making up shit to try and get them grounded by their parents.

Extereme use weapons would be like: Actually breaking a kids bones, destroying a toy of thiers or thier bike, Attacking thier parents by like: Having them get fired from thier job because one of the rival kids parent is thier manager, making a rivals parents get devorced, or calling the police and saying that a parent molested a kid.

Main Factions: at least 3-4 Different scout troops each trying to outlast each other.
and just because it would be boys vs girls primarly dosent mean that there wont be times that the troops wont have intergender wars.
Also the parents/Adults will have no idea about the war and will only think that the kids are just beig kids.

Specific episodes: -The soapbox kart derby episode: Lots of sabotage, lots of kids getting hurt
-The school dance which would be like a "GoT: red wedding" style episode
-"The Science fair" in which the kids try to invent a brand new super addictive candy to sell also a breaking bad style episode.
-A double, even tripple crossed episode.
-A sports game vs episode

So... kinda superjail?
Still, it sounds good, I love stories about asylums

MINE:
A nerd and a kinda popular girl, who do not know each other in real life, are able to share a same fantastic alternate world in their dreams. Together they battle monsters, save the citizens and try to stop an evil wizard. The kid slowly falls in love with the girl and tries to figure out who she is in the real world.

It'd be like AT but less shipping, less continuous plot and more wacky, episodic adventures. The kid would try to find the girl, but the focus would be on the adventures

I have a premise I've been toying with. What happens when a anti-social nerd becomes super popular? Hijinks insue, of course.

I don't have a name but the gyst of it is that there's this guy, who is as stated above, an unpopular anti-social nerd. But one day, he does something (not quite sure yet) that makes everyone notice him. All of his friends would have weirdly close relationships to him. There's the dudebro best friend, the mobster-type henchmen, the bright eyed protoge, and a girl who fawns all over him, along with other friends he makes along the way. The thing is though, he kinda hates them all. Or at least tolerates them. So they drag him to parties, or out to the beach or movies, barging over into his house interrupting his free quiet time.

He starts out a loner, constantly pushing them away, but eventually learns to let them in.

>bump plot

I got a plot for ya.

A person have bought an old and beat down journal from a flea market, and would have the description of "My Journey into Hell", the person reads the journal, learning about this person's descent into Hell, the journal describe how his interpretation of Hell not being traditionally Fiery and Malice, it rather being Freezing, Depressed, and Anguish, the color blue plays a factor with the recurring theme of this version of Hell, eventually, the journals end of saying that before he was pummeled back to hell as he has escaped, he given his journal to the guy that ensure his story is known to the public, but has forgotten to publish it, in which the person who was reading the journal was given the idea to publish it, but after 2-4 weeks, the person received a letter from the book company that has book wasn't accepted because it was similar to Dante's Inferno

Okay, here's an idea for a side character

The asylum's head nurse, as well as the only nurse. A young girl around the same age as the protagonist, wearing an old-fashioned nurse's uniform and with long blonde hair tied up into a pair of huge pigtails.

The asylum's previous head (and only) nurse, was her grandmother, and after she retired, the girl was the only one around who was even remotely qualified (Though calling her qualified is still a stretch), due to the asylum's remote location

She tries to take her job seriously for the most part, but due to her age and the patients she has to deal with, she often acts pretty immature

How's that?
>>
>>93079669
>way too complicated

Don't get me wrong I love layered narratives but you seem more to be outlining the opening and and closing more than the actual meat of the story. Like Watchmen's synospis doesn't need the detail about how some jackass at the news office finds the journal afterwords.

I feel like a loli straightman is a weird combination, but I can dig it. It really depends on how weird you're willing to go with the concept, and in what ways.

Soft sci-fi setting, set on a non-human Earthlike planet, effectively the 23rd century in terms of equivalent technology (for the host civilization, the 'invaders' are far beyond that). The main characters are closer to insects than mammals, and oxygen is super-plentiful. They have to be more environmental because their bodies literally require more oxygen. Urban inhabitants wear special masks.
Suddenly, humans with even better technology jump out of the warp and make contact, wearing suits meant to appeal to similarity of appearance. They offer to trade a portion of humanity's superscience for the science and culture of this planet. It also helps that the weapons the aliens use when they initially believe the force to be an invasion are completely ineffective and the mining laser on the human scout vessel could glass armies in an instant.
Trawling the planet's history, the main character, one of the 'locust-men' and the equivalent of a university student, decides to study human civilization to determine its similarity to his own. In this setting, humanity's planet of origin and history are similar but ultimately different than reality.
One of the main characters is a human-made AI, the scout ship's leader. He was overdesigned for intelligence, and can run the entire ship himself if he needs to. The humans basically consider him a walking god.
>>
>>93079770

I agree with them. It's a neat idea, and I get what you're saying, but when summarizing the cartoon I would have focused more on the descent into hell rather than the the guy trying to publish the journal.

Anyway, lots of cosmic horror stuff. Kinda don't want to post mine, seems cliche, but fuck it.

In an alternate future, the world has been devastated - both from the stalemated Third World War between the United States and a surviving Soviet Union, and a series of natural disasters and plagues called "the Tribulation". The Middle East and much of the Indian Subcontinent have been reduced to radioactive wasteland. The third world is in a state of anarchy as nations collapse and terrorism runs rampant. Millions have died, and the superpowers stand on the brink of nuclear annihilation. And now, supernatural entities set loose by the carnage set to work bringing about the apocalypse.

In the face of these threats, a secret group within the US government and military work to combat these paranormal entities and their human proxies before they can destroy the world.

That's just a general overview- I have a whole lot more details about the alternate history of this world worked out and a couple of characters, but I'm having trouble thinking of plots.

>>93079994
I kinda went with her being a young girl partially because I think it would help her work as sort of a foil to the protagonist, and because I thought the concept might be kinda funny

>I'm liking the setting but I'm more interested in what the conflict between the two worlds would really be
The AI is secretly influencing the planet for an intended peaceful takeover- the humans are psychologically unprepared for killing after millennia of war-less spacefaring, and he believes that if he initiates the conflict, the humans will turn on him- an outcome he doesn't want to contemplate. So his endgame is either to continue to buy off locustman lad until humans have a safe footing, or to have a 'locustman' do something that would warrant obliterating their species.
>>
>>93080313
*locustman land
He doesn't want to kill if he doesn't have to, but he believes the humans he's entrusted with will degrade if left in space any longer, and this planet is the best candidate, because it's a civilization they can slowly adapt to, rather than a wild planet they have to tame.

The show takes place in a comic book world dominated by supervillains. The lore of it is that some event happened which allowed supervillains to defeat most of the former heroes. Thus, upon victory, they now have turned their sights on trying to destroy each other.

The primary focus is on two villains who run a mechanics shop and have a con business on the side as they try to make money off the war. They frequently sell weapons or their services to villains in need of henchmen (who they secretly steal from). It's an episodic show about these dastardly characters interacting with this weird cartoon world they live in and making schemes for a living. Think of it like Seinfeld/IASIP meets Venture Bros/Lupin III.

The main cast consists of
>A short and fat mechanic who makes a living of repairing machines and selling tools to other villains. A simple and brutish, yet charismatic man. Wants to make it big as a supervillain to get tons of money.
>A tall, lanky and arrogant businessman, partner to the previous character. While his brother works, he devises heists, negotiates contracts, etc. He's a backstabbing bastard who tries to act like he's smarter than everyone else (which often bites him in the ass).
>A young fugitive witch/magician who makes a living out of circus acts but who frequently tags along with the brothers to try and steal from them, but who also provides help as a distraction/escape route thanks to her skills as a magician.
>A former war hero who's now a disgraced hobo who crashes by in the dumpster. He is tall and strong, but extremely destructive and prone to nonsensical babble. Think of it as Doc Savage meets Cosmo Kramer.

Pic related is a close depiction of how I envisioned the two main characters (albeit they will be human and with a few additional details corresponding to their characters)
>>
>>93081474
Interesting premise. My main concern would be that the two jobs (mechanic/con artist) would get in the way of each other too much. But I trust you're taking care of it as a writer.

Okay, mine then.

So there's a group of peddlers who go around scamming people by selling fake enchanted items, with the joke being that they themselves can do magic, but their items don't actually do anything.

This scam continues until one day they're finally caught by the police captain, who force them into an ultimatum: work for him as bounty hunters, or spend life in prison.

Since anything's better than prison, they take the bounty hunting job, but since the police captain hates them, he sends them after the biggest, meanest, nastiest crooks he can think of in hopes that they get picked off.

This is such a good premise, and I say this everytime you bring it ip, and I was just wondering: You seem to be a pretty good artist, have you ever thought about transferring your ideas into a minicomic adaptation of one script, just as a way to demonstrate what you're going for here?

>You are such a good artist
Seriously? Because one of the reasons I have not written much since then (appart from searching job) is that I spend time trying to improve my drawing skills. Thank you if you are honest.
>have you ever thought about transferring your ideas into a minicomic
The main problem of comics is reduced audience, the second problem is broader competition, the third problem is that comic is a written medium and so I couldn't focus on the main them: which is foreign languages.

Now if you speak of writing a script in comic format, for producers, I can think about it.

In a quiet coastal New England city, a nerdy social introverted teenage girl riddled with anxiety named Katie tries to make it through life and high school. Due to her witch ancestry she happens to have the ability to travel into the dreams of others, a power she uses to investigate the mysteries of her town, a thriving port secretly run by an ancient cult worshipping a sleeping Lovecraftian horror.

She is frequently joined by her cousin Dan, a secretly gay wannabe rockstar with a gruff exterior, and her best friend Marina, a micromanaging social butterfly latina qt. Other characters include Miguel, Marina's chill older cousin and guardian who works as a semi-successful novelist and helps the gang out from time to time, Ari, local queen bitch and theatre starlet with the best tits in a 10km radius, and Jonathan, the cynical slacker and captain of the worst lacrosse team in the state.

The plot I have going focuses mainly around the idea that kids in the area getting subtle supernatural abilities, climaxing with the reveal that Ari has the ability to selectively remove memories from others and has been using it to fuck with the cast. Meanwhile, Miguel slowly forms a coalition against the cultists, gradually drawing a line in the sand that splits the town in two.

Basically it's Jojolion meets Night in the Woods, mundane kids getting caught up in grandiose struggles over the fate of their humble town.

>comics is a written medium

I seriously hope you guys don't do this.

Comics are a huge visual medium if you want them to be. I'm just saying your art isn't perfect (far from it, /ic/ yourself my dude), but a minicomic of one script would make it easier to pitch your ideas, and it'd make it easier for you to pick out things you don't like in your work.

>If this plot has a "E.T" feel about it, it can be quite nice.

I do want it to have that Spielbergian suburban life feel to it. The way I think of it is, "slice of life, if your life is that of an alien trying to hide from intergalactic mercenaries." And neither of the kids would be really special, even the alien boy. Like Elliot, it's more about their friendship rather than some special chosen one subplot.

BTW, I would watch your show in an instant. You should think about submitting it to Amazon or something.
>>
>>93087774
It's this benevolent alien?

I have 3 settings:

1. Medieval Fantasy with some steampunk world with elfs in place of humans. Follows a runaway boy's journey to see the world and everything it has to offer. And a la One Piece, most places he visit he gets involved on some plot and always endup trying to help the locals, making a pack of very different friends including a yeti kid, a monk cursed to always scream when speaking(he's quiet most of the times), a shinto-like priestess and her ghost friend, a alien girl from the moon and many more(they are not always together tho). Btw, most of the magic and fantastic creatures are considered legends by the simple folks, being more like a fairy tale world

2. Over the top Sci-Fi & Fantasy similar to Doom/Quake. A long time a Dr. Wily-like mad scientist build a super computer capable of mass producing semi-independent robots, surprise surprise, the AI is evil just like his creator, they build a robot army to destroy humanity. The war raged for long, but eventually the "World's Army"(it's like the Regular Army from Metal Slug) was getting the edge thanks to a brilliant general, who whitout the commander permission dealt the final attack to the robots HQs, destroying the computer and killing the scientist.
Using his glory and influence he took over the entire armed forces and build he's own fascist empire, uniting most of the world.
Shit got real when sunddely dinosaur people trying to take back earth after centurys hiding in the underworld, an multi-species alien empire invasion(like XCOM), eldritch demons-worshipping cultists and the slowly rebuilding itself synth army by the AI's hidden backup sparked a hyper war.
Main characters are a group of mercenarys. For now I only got a skinny but athletic Irish guy called Lucky Rob and a japanese teenager Banchou complete with school uniform and straw on mouth. They are going to be a diverse token space crew
>>
>>93089110
3. Not too distant future in a world "similar but not quite" to the real world. Takes place on a
global metropolis. Each season has a different protagonist and different plots, sometimes they meet eachothers. I'm not feeling like entering in detail about them, but expect illegal cage fights with a panda masked westler, gangs made entirely of fantastic creatures, people going around in full plate armor, hobo wizards, assassin organizations and a bunch of other weirdos

Two boys, both have the same name. One is really tall and pessimistic, the other really short and optimistic. They really only know each other because they're in both in the same science class.

One day, when the class is outside, the two stumble upon a secret bunker underground. The bunker is the home of a kooky professor who traded his eyes away for "magic goggles" (leave the guy alone, he's 65) The professor only appears thorough a monitor and tasks the boys with a mission.

Protecting and preserving mythical creatures.

The show would have the duo find mystical creatures and bring them to the professor's bunker where they can be safely protected from the outside world.

Other characters include: A talking frog with one arm who wants a girlfriend (a HUMAN girlfriend)

3 crows who can recall the past, talk about things going in other places in the present, and predict the future.

The dog of a God who just lays down all day. The "get out of jail free" card if the boys get into too much trouble.

A group of salamanders who can only speak in questions. They are totally expendable and will regenerate/duplicate if they die/lose a body part.

All the creatures the boys retrieve would be actual creatures from mythology and folklore. Maybe during the credits, have an educational segment talking about the creature's origins.
>>
>>93092901
Sounds like it could be cool. A lot of it would probably depend on the creature design. Still, I could see a pretty intimidating poster, something with two armies staring into the distance as a Lovecraftian horror approaches with a tagline like, "The only thing that could unite is...is the arrival of something worse."

Overall, solid effort, would read full show pitch at least.

Two friends attempt to become internet game reviewers, in the style of the Angry Video Game Nerd.
>When getting material for a review, they spend the whole night playing a single section, getting fucking pissed at it. When it comes time to record gameplay, the section is easier for them and they can't get as mad they were that night. They spend the episode trying to get mad and make it look real.
>They notice people stopped watching and find out that a shittier version of them has gotten popular. They try to think of how to deal with him, but he ends up crashing and burning by the end of the episode
>They put out a negative review of a well loved game and get a ton of heat. Hijinx ensues.
>Halloween Special. They get a creepypasta haunted copy of a video game. One character is unable to leave his seat and must play the game while the other teams up with the imitator, who is now a ghost hunter, to exorcise the evil spirit.

The humanity of the brother usually allows him to escape where the android can not reach, leading to crushing defeats humored by the android's contempt for living organisms.
The sister gets an episode focused on her upgrading the robot, played somewhat more serious than the show, in order to develop her as a character that just wants her brother to stay still. However, it never occurs to her that her brother loves travel, because she xenophobic and fears everything not of her world/region.

She, in a desperate attempt to defeat her brother, gives the android true free will and sentience in order to defeat her brother. It ends up trying to become the best courier/smuggler... but attempting to kill/incapacitate the brother. The brother escapes, but now it is the brother and sister duo who must defeat the ever increasing power and might of the self-upgrading android with a narrowminded goal and unshakable will!

Gaming-themed 'saturday morning action show' about a boy with parents who are both fairly big-time game devs - for rival studios. They constantly try to get their kid to test new experimental products - in this world all games being advanced VR 'in the game' experiences. Hijinks ensue, often born of sabotage and brinksmanship by one or both of the parents. But they all come together as a family to work it out in the end of each episode. Lots of pastiche/homage opportunities. Secondary dynamic where the main kid has a group of friends who are mostly hardcore gamers (including one 'friend' who is outside the clique and transparently just wants to get access to his parents work, who may serve as antagonist occasionally) who occasionally wind up roped into the craziness, giving the main kid an opportunity to be the 'hero' who leads with his experience. If the opportunity/demand presents itself for the addition of more pathos or morals, the kid himself can have some other hobby/interest/passion other than gaming, which can become a source of conflict (eg. kid is musician and tells his parents off about interrupting his practice for their nonsense, later on parents work together to make the kid a musical practice app).

>>93094408
what is the tone/style? you seem to have a lot of specific details in mind, maybe too many, but not a broad sense of palette. from your description i'm thinking it's slightly edgy mignola-like, but the kid-duo+semi-mysterious old man doesn't really fit that?

Me, myselves and I's

An awkward teenager that doesn't fit in in his hometown wishes for a friend for just one friend for the summer. His wish comes true when he starts being visited by alternate reality versions of himself! Each one seems intent on "fixing" the teen before their time with him is up, resulting in normal things (like trying to summon the courage to say hi to a girl at work) spiraling into extraordinary things (like said girl turning into a giant robot the teen has to return to normal)

Episodes end with a small change in the teen ("After seeing her with metal class and almost being eaten by her, saying hi seemed pretty easy")

Episodes also end with the alternate-reality-character-of-the-day speaking to the shadowed/ obscured figure of the next episode's one.

I'm intrigued by the parent rivalry causing all manners of hell for the kid, feel like it has really comedic potential.
Really like the idea of the parents making apps revolving around his interests, could serve for a pretty funny happenings, especially if they up the game and make vr games based on his hobbies. Makes less of a 'game cartoon" and more of a " cartoon with a gaming theme"
>>
>>93093711
The setting is a children's action-adventure series but the actual story is a character-driven dark-comedy.

>>93075321
It always struck me that living in a conflict-centred kid's show would be incredibly frustrating if you weren't one of the main characters. The morality and structure of kids shows are so removed from reality, they always reminded my of the settings for a lot British comedies where characters struggle with living in an absurd world that masquerades as an ordinary and perfectly acceptable one.

I imagine the main character to be living in a world that is a) constantly working against her in her enemies favour for no apparent reason b) places her value above that of the generic henchmen army but not high enough to be among the Heroes and her Boss, the main villain.

Nothing too mean, more "making fun of people behind their backs/gossiping" than "bullying people to suicide". Very interesting concept. To what extent is the main character characterized? Does he have a voice? Is he even referred to as he? Or deo you leave it as open as possible to people self-inserting?

My idea is a sort of deconstruction of wish-fulfillment cartoons/anime about a boy who gets his magical girl, who is actually an eldritch abomination imitating his desires as part of a plot to destroy the world. No befriending the mosnter, no cop-out, it slowly devolves from wish-fulfillment into straight Lovecraft horror as the main character tries to cover for his increasingly monsterish girlfriends actions at the expense of everyone around him so he can continue living out his fantasy. The "ow the edge" story is softened by monster of the week, action focused plots. Recurring characters include Cassandra, an unpopular bullied girls with physcic powers, Ricky, an older football player who is the only core cast member with some brawn, and Steven, the "ghost" of the main guy's best friend who was removed from existence and replaced with the eldritch horror. He has a chip on his shoulder about this and secretly plans with Cass to banish the creature. The main characters never really outright beat their enemies, just escape with their lives and sanity, so as not to spit too much on Lovecraft's legacy.
>>
>>93099416
That sounds really cool, esrly 200's Clerks-y stuff. Youtubers are hor right now and I feel like not enough people capitalize on the idea of letsplaying and the plots you could draw from it.

It feels like a gaming themed Loud House where all the energy of the sisters is concentrated into the parents. I'm sure all this lore is facinating, but so little of it matters to the core of the show. All that's important is that you have a noble Space Knight character traveling through Bad Knight World. It used to be Earth, that's cool too.

Reruns make more money really. We didn't start getting good longer form live action in bulk until the age of internet television really started to catch on. Until then you either got a ton of people caught on with your primiers and following your show or you made your show episodic with overarching plot, to reward repeat viewing without punishing new viewers.

It's that same scenario but there are no real alternatives yet. Bojack is the firsr show that I've seen in a while that really breaks out of that, and to a lesser degree Steven Universe.

This feels kind of like Haruhi taken to its logical, terrifying conclusion. I feel like if you were going to do this you should set it up like It Hurts! Where the brutal senseless nature of the world is laid out first but it isn't until like the end of the first or second episode that the true nature of the horrors that await becomes clear. It should have a definate arc though, dragging that shit out would definately hurt the show in the long run unless you play it off like It's Always Sunny where it always gets worse but there's always further to fall and the world outside breaks but not too hard to ruin the show's world completely. But if you want to emphasize that decline a set plot arc is needed.

-Person who is trying to build a cult worshiping the family family
-A pair of Men In Black type government agents, one who is aware of the nature of the family and is watching them to make sure they aren't hostile ( In setting all sorts of weird shit is going on other than the family and the government knows about it and is covering it up ) and is the mentor of a skeptical agent and the as the plot conveniently covers up the families mistakes, the partner never actually sees any of the paranormal stuff that would confirm it's paranormal. Well you look at media and really there isn't all that much in terms of martial arts like boxing or kickboxing. Its mostly stuff like karate or Kung Fu.

Its largely untapped in terms of it being out into art.

As for the technology levels its largely only scraps and remnants. Vehicles are not rare but they're not common. Robots are largely nonexistent except for the occasional hard to kill combat drone thats managed to survive the various panicked human attempt on its life and more commonly just recreational drones that survived their masters.

The world has largely reset itself but stuff from the old world remains in places.

Which is why people still largely have to solve shit hand to hand and with melee weapons. Guns are nice but difficult to mass produce as humanity is still progressing back to industindustrialization.

>>93106689
Yeah, pacing is kinda my main concern, especially since the concept tries to play off the fact that the show seems like basic wish fulfillment and the main character is an unlikable self-insert. I want to make the audience believe that's all there is to the show for a few episodes so creepiness hits harder, but I also don't want to fall into full "I was only pretending to be shitty" territory. I guess I would try to keep a clean arc of progression each season. Season 1 focusing on slowly revealing just how inhuman Medea (the eldritch thing) is, with the first few episode showing her as kinda too perfect and little off. Episode 3 or 4 probably ends with her doing something explicitly evil (killing someone or something) and the next episode, Status Quo, hits the point home by showing how she manipulates reality to keep up a narrative for Jay (main guy), culminating in her straight up unpersoning one of his neighbors for figuring things out. Season ends with her being "broken" by some her cultists, spouting random phrases and barely resembling a human girl anymore.
Season two focuses more on Jay becoming more and more desperate to keep up his wish life, and doing worse and worse things (lying to his friends, banishing the ghost guy, killing a priest) to propagate it. Ends with him coming to terms with the fact he can't keep this up.
Last season is him dealing with the consequences of his actions, working to avoid the end of the world, and generally wrapping up the plot.
There would be more actiony plot arcs throughout each season (cultists trying to kill the main guys, a death god, end of the world and general villain team-up) to keep things interesting, but that's the core arc so it doesn't drag too much.

Music of The Heroes

>Music is a source of powerful magic
>An alternate earth where it has been cursed by the gods to be completely clouded forever
>Super industrialized cities
>An old genius inventor who builds machines that run on the magic of music
>A former greaser maine coon and a female spanish captain work for the inventor and explore the world
>A teenage boy and his little sister both travel the country in search of their parents
>Brother and sister are descendants of musicians who played music for the gods
>A demon lord who's bounded to be a small girl plots to steal the boys violin to release her powers
>the group works to find the source of the catastrophe that led the gods to punish the earth

I've posted this idea a long time ago in the same kind of thread and I've been working on this for a long while.
I'd post concept art of the characters but I'm only half decent, so maybe not. Let me know what you think
>>
>>93106759
Because I like to do something with the setting of an almost feudal after the end and the idea of occasionally following other warriors doing warrior things.
>>
>>93107066
I feel like you could do this whole plot in 1 season, 2 if you wanted to give all the characters real depth.
>>
>>93107039
Honestly, I'd just rip off lovecraft and put a comedic twist on them.
Episode idea:
School dance is happening.
Kid wants a date for the dance, and chooses love interest character.
Kid accidentally mind controls the school into creating increasingly elaborate "will you go to the dance with me" displays when thinking of ideas on how to convince her to accept his proposal.
The climax is the entire school is brainwashed into resigning the gym into a spooky temple, with an altar of sacrifice dedicated to love interest.
Then the kid realizes he doesn't know how to dance and decides he doesn't want to go anymore. Parents ask why kid isn't going to the dance anymore and realize the family realizes they can't comprehend how to dance.
When the brainwashing wears off, the school becomes aware of all the weird decorations and mistakenly believe that it was all decorations for the dance and everyone believes that everyone else was just really enthusiastic about it for some reason.
The next day everyone is buzzing about the party and telling the kid that he missed the best dance ever.
They ask the kid why he didn't come to the dance and he admits he doesn't know how to dance. Love interest offers to teach him how to dance.

Oh fuck I dig it. I like the overall feel you have going for the story. I was worried at first but you do have a clear idea for an arc here, which is appreciated.
>>
>>93107245
Okay it feels really 80's sitcomy, just with a cynical rick and morty esque dark weird edge to it. Lovecraft doesn't feel like the right term here.
>>
>>93106843
Eh. Really eh. It's action adventure spliced to slice of life and neither feels compelling enough. Describe characters.
>>
Four underground kingdoms, consisting of sentient rock creatures, sentient mushrooms, sentient worms, and dwarves. The main characters are the kingdom's respective rulers, the rock prince, the fungus princess, the worm queen, and the dwarf king.

Basically it would be about comedic interactions and goings-on in the underground.

>>93106142
I see an episode where the Granddaughter/Niece/Whatever decides she wants to meet a real Fairy Princess.
>Grandpa where are we?
>This is the Fae, Sophie, Neverland, Wonderland, The Land of Nod, The Undying Lands, Fiddlers Green, Oz... All of them at once.
>Stay very close to me, the Rules are different here, and the penalties for breaking them more severe.
>>
>>93075457
I'm working on something like that except the afterlife is actually a demon dimension where deceased humans go. The demons were born there.

But it's more about a small demon who becomes a detective than a dead family.
>>
>>93107381
By family friendly I don't necessarily mean about a family.
>>
>>93107066
I would change the end of season 2 to Jay going all in and being completely consumed by her illusion to the point where she doesn't even try to look like a human anymore and he doesn't care, season 3 switches protags to the anti-hero cultist or priest and ends with him finally taking out the demonic duo in a blaze of glory.
>>
>>93107209
So what's the plot?
>>
>>93106192
Thanks for the input! Perhaps it could be very silly, but then have a dramatic tone shift the moment the Android gains sentience. As if it were an abomination juxtaposed in the kinder world--like the Lich in some capacity. Humor would still exist, but any scene with the creation could have an air of unease and smite any humor.

Of course, the silliness would be feasible, no ACME stunts. More akin to a sibling rivalry show ala Dexter with both characters being goofballs who believe they are doing right and that it is all a game... Until it isn't.
>>
>>93107400
Ah. Yeah this would be a cartoon intended for younger people.
>>
>>93107301
haven't given it that much thought yet, I just came up with it reading this thread so anything I try to pull out of my ass right now will be shit. It just seems like a fun way to deconstruct all the shitty troupes that plague fighting game stories. If it had good writers it would be awesome, otherwise it would be trash.
>>
>>93107423
Well there isn't one.

There's no mystery to the world or some great and evil threat.

The world ended and humanity survived.

The feeling I'm hoping it evokes is hope. You don't come away from it raring to go and waiting for the next episode but you feel happy having. Its not supposed to be comfy but you feel good watching it.

I'm still outlining episodes and drifting a lot of shit but to give you an idea. An example of an MC centered episode would be a little tale about him diving into ruins of the old world to find a family heirloom only to follow the last moments of a man rescuing his family.

A side story would be a soldier from a larger city escorting an old man to see his 'child'.

Just stories.
>>
>>93107660
Seems a bit too glim to me.

My pitch is called Desert of Dreams.

An amnesiac prince wanders a wrecked desert composed of broken dreams and thoughts. He seeks to get to the center and find out why he's trapped here.

He rides on a broken pirate ship powered by happy thoughts and memories, and have to routinely fend off and slay beings made of negative emotions who wish to consume him.

His arch rival and love interest is a woman who knows who is, but is obsessed with stopping his journey and forcing him to remain in the desert.

He is aided by his talking sword, who has the crossguard as a moustache and often gives well meaning but obviously senile advice.

Every episode starts with them having to explore a new dream and help a new dreamer, gaining happy thoughts as a reward.
>>
>>93107826
This sounds like it would make a better indie game than cartoon
>>
>>93107869
Maybe it would. I just thought of it as something I'd wanted to have watched as a kid. A show that can have action and the ability to both get trippy and have some emotional weight.

And have a funny talking grandpa sword. Because how has that not been done yet?
>>
Remake of the old DnD cartoon
>>
>>93107907
>the ability to both get trippy and have some emotional weight.

this is what I want.

I feel if it was a network show you wouldn't be able to do this right and it'd come off as an emo adventure time. As a game you'd be able to get more adult with the themes and it'd be a definite plus and the atmosphere of sailing your ship around the dream sand like an acid trip Wind Waker would be epic. Set grandpa sword
up as a navi type character. Treat the dreams as levels or dungeons and set the center up as the final level.

A 16 year old boy finds out on his birthday that he isn't really who he thinks he is. A long time ago in another dimension a dark sorcerer and his legion of monsters rampaged through the land. The armies of good fought him off, eventually managing to seal him away in a magical prison, but the only way to truly destroy him is through the magic possessed by the royal child. Unfortunately, said child was just an infant at the time, and the sorcerer vowed that his minions would never stop searching for it. And so, heartbroken, the King and Queen sent their child with their most trusted advisors into another world so that their baby could grow up safe until their powers begin to activate at the age of 16. Then they could return to finish off the army of evil once and for all.

"So I'm actually a royal baby who is about to get magical powers in order to fight a bunch of monsters?" The boy asks. "This is the coolest thing to ever happen to me!"

"Well, hold on one second," the man he thought was his dad said. "In order to hide you we had to place a spell on you to conceal your identity. We didn't want any evil creature coming here and accidentally stumbling across the...princess..."

"No, wouldn't want that," the boy said. "It would be really unfortunate if a monster found me and what was that word you just used?"

The boy managed to convince everyone to let him stay on Earth. However, he has to constantly practice his magic, as the forces of evil will begin coming after him, and he has to regain his true form. What was the coolest thing ever now has some major drawbacks. Afterall, what teen boy wants to find out he's a magical girl?

>>93106540
>focus on the character aspect and less on the "lel so meta" part it'd work well
As someone with a real weakness for meta I'm making a concentrated effort to keep it in the background.

>You'd also need a very strong supporting cast.
That's the bit I'm stuck on. Got ideas to what roles I want filled but in terms of actual personality it's early stages.

There's the Boss whose getting fed up of being the villain and is having a redemption arc. He and the MC where once close friends but the more evil shit she did for his sake, the more distasteful he found her.

Then there's the "upper circle" which so far includes a science officer whom the MC has a long personal rivalry, an "honourable" villain who keeps undermining the cause, a "femme fatale" with a tragic backstory, the muscle guy whom is probably going to die early.

The actual main side cast will be either two hapless mooks that the MC ends up going on most of her missions and hanging around with. Again having trouble figuring out what personalities to give them.

Leaning towards making the "Hero" an invisible presence that the MC doesn't run into in till the end. Might have some of the Hero's allies turn up as reoccurring characters.

So are they not suppose to know what the fuck is going on with no explanation?! I think there should be some way for the people to know little bits about this stuff or else they be scratching their heads thinking what the fuck is going on and who are these people?

Frankly I think your logic is to just run the show and not tell anyone about anything and let them find out on their own. That's fine by me, but please don't be "that guy" and make a fuss about how other people run their shows. OK pal? :)

Two brothers live with their family village in a fantasy Medieval world. The Kingdoms and Elves, dwarfs and what not live in peace, team up to fight off orcs when they get too uppity, Wizards, Warlocks and Witches are respected, albeit handled cautiously, and seeing a dragon flying in the sky is a very rare, but cool omen
Expect at this time, the Forces of Good are fighting in a fierce war against forces of immense evil. One of the brothers, the older one, joined a group of adventurers to try and stop the evil at it's source
One day, a large ''Container'' with the words "NATO" written on them falls from the sky, and from it, people emerge! They speak a very similar language, and talk about all kinds of things, they are whisked away to see the King and many celebrations are held.
But then, some time later, another "container" falls, this one labeled "SCO". They too are celebrated, but there is a noticeable change in the way the NATO people talk
At first, the NATO and SCO people work together to better the kingdom. The Older brother is given an "Obrez" and uses it against the leader of the evil force, killing the villian instantly! But for a serf to have stolen the glory from his more aristocratic team-mates is frowned upon...
Eventually, the tensions between NATO and SCO spill over, bringing modern tech, tearing apart cultures and traditions, tearing apart nations, but will it tear apart the bond between the brothers?

>>93109961
So the boy-who-would-be-prince is actually the princess? A unique plot twist, and some very strange questions to be asked for both characters and viewers. Some of the plot kinda reminds me of Star vs the Forces of Evil, with a member of royalty being on Earth, and the possibility of evil from another dimension spilling over into Earth. Overall,

What about if your setting is fantasy or science fiction?
>>
>>93118011
Actually, it was a little bit inspired by the Princess Marco episode. I imagine that it would be a fun show full of magic and adventure, but it would also have drama and heart as well. After all, this kid just found out his parents aren't his parents, he isn't even from this world and he has to give up his very identity to combat an evil force which is trying to kill him. I think I'd have him still live in Earth with his adoptive parents, but he would have to take his true form, meaning none of his friends would recognise him. He would, in effect, have to start his life all over at 16. Its really a question of who you are, deep inside.

Your plot seems pretty kickass too BTW. One thing I would change is make it NATO and Soviets in Cold War drama. That might help highlight the differences and drama even more. Plus, Soviet/orc alliance? I'd watch the shit out of that. But that's just a me thing, solid premise even without it.
>>
>>93119185
Pretty earth-shattering problems to face all at once, even more difficult for a 16 year old. How would she cope? Who would she have to keep her from loosing it? How does she even begin to believe anything that is going on around her is real?

Also your idea of changing SCO to USSR/WARPAC would be a great alteration. NATO appeases King and Dukes/Duchesses, while WARPAC riles up the peasantry. As for getting other races involved; that is also a great idea, although I would want to try to keep the emphasis on the human kingdoms, having some other trouble going on would be cool (Soviets influence orcs, NATO get cozy with the Elves, and dwarves profit off of everyone)
>>
>>93119592
The one thing I think you'd want to avoid is making the so called Forces of Evil actually evil. If you're going to mix real world conflicts into a fantasy world, it would be a lot more fun to show some of the nuance between the two sides.

And I know that advice seems a bit hypocritical coming from a guy whose plot involves a dark wizard. However, I also imagine a scene where he confronts the "princess." He brings up the fact that the King and Queen, the supposed good guys, never once wondered whether the boy she would grow up as would even want to come back. They didn't care about him, they just cared about keeping the power away from him. He may be selfish, but at least he's honest about it.

Nuanced villains are fun to write I guess is what I'm getting at.

I had kinda planned for the "evil force" to be outright evil. Some sort of Cannibalistic, Dark-God Worshipping demons/monsters/fools which would be absolutely crushed by the power of guns, thanks to the Older brother's work with them. All the "good" nations would rejoice with this, and trust the NATO/WARPAC dudes, but at the same time would create a problem. Not only is there now a demand for advanced weapons, all the magic that the wizards and witches were using start getting scoffed at, as they were only holding against the forces of evil, not defeating it. This leads to a natural order getting upset, among other things. Another kind of evil forms within...

This child is in for a troubled life! Heir to a throne that she is absolutely foreign to, Parents that made her live a lie for her whole life, hunted by otherworldly forces that want her head. How is she not going to kill self?
>>
>>93118458
Well I usually look at very old names and try to twist them or find a unique name

>tfw feel confident about making my own unique name
>mfw find out it's an actual name
>>
>>93120013
Ah, so it's more about the conflict of us getting involved. Good twist.

The kid keeps going because they believe there is good in the world. They have a screwed up life, but this kid loves their parents, they want to help the people in their home world, they want to stay with their friends even if they have to start all over and perhaps even get hit on by them. Because in the end the show will be an uplifting one. I want a hero who constantly gets knocked down, stands back up and says, "Okay, what else you've got?" I want someone like Superman who will never let you down, no matter what, even if they have do figure out how to do it and keep boob jiggle to a minimum now.

It's just, none of it really sells the audience on the show. All the backstory is cool, but ultimately people don't care "why" things are happening if they don't know what exactly is happening, and you said like one sentence on what the actual work is going to be like.

the universe crashes and reboots.
The show follows a group of teenage boys in the new universe, as they attempt to acclimate to their new lives as magical girls.
Comedy comes from the fact that unlike the rest of the universe, they still remember the old world and are still mentally a bunch of dudes.
It all serves as a parody of magical girl anime, American cartoons that want to be anime, and modern weeb culture.

>>
>>93122809

Might be cool so long as you can come up with a very good reason for them to want to do it that way. I mean, it sounds like more work for less effect.

Here's my pitch: A pair of sentient magical swords, one good, one evil. Each chooses a wielder, and they battle for the fate of the world. But the twist is, instead of a single narrative with occasional hints or flashbacks that maybe this happened before, each season is its own entirely self contained story. Every season ends with a climactic showdown between good and evil, and good does not always win. Then the next season is set in a different era with a different level of magic and/or technology, an entirely new cast of characters, and maybe even a totally different tone.

Sometimes the two wielders will be starcrossed lovers, or best friends, or brothers. Sometimes they hated each other all along, or are total strangers. Sometimes it's a combat travelogue where one travels around the world to hunt down the other. Maybe one year they travel together only to find out their destiny is to fight at the very end. The only constant characters are the two swords, and maybe some kind of "watcher" figure to serve as a narrator.

"Mayor Destruction"

Doctor Destruction is a C-list supervillian who specializes in weird science gadgets and committing outlandish crimes out of boredom. When a law preventing felons from running for public office is repealed, she runs for mayor on a dare as a libertarian and ends up winning, due to the previous mayor being involved in a scandal during the election cycle. Now she has to not only fix the broken city(which she is partially responsible for), but contend with the local superheroes (who don't exactly trust her) and other supervillians who wish to destroy her city

cast
Dr Catherine Destruction
lazy supergenius who will always take the pseudo-scientific way out

The Centipede
average guy in a mechanical arms suit. Henchmen/secretary to Destruction, but just to put his kids through college

Amanda Goldstein/The Were-Nazi
City treasurer. She was bitten by Richard Spencer, and becomes a SS Commander when the moon is full.

Justfist
local team of superheroes. Formerly Dr Destruction's greatest foe, now at her beck and call. They are divided between helping her become a better person, and proving her villainy to the world.

This is all based off of a Mutants and Masterminds Campaign I had once

I could spend ages detailing the lore of the society, going into the history and details of all the creatures they have under wraps. But that's not what the story is about. It is about a boy who wants to prove himself to his friends and the old man. It's about an old man who sees too many of his mistakes in this young boy. It's about character. The monsters and lore are just the window dressing.

The show takes place in an underground unregistered scientific government facility. They make research on unethical or just weird branches of science.
The cast is composed of either entirely normal scientists who use their intelligence for their own benefit and just like their profession, a few sociopaths who like fucking shit up for everyone and a pair of guys conspiring to take over the world using everyone as their pawns. They are extremely talented scientists but everyone can see what they're doing and they always fail at it; the only reason they're allowed to stick around is because of how brilliant they are.
The administration is run by incompetent or downright sadistic people who enjoy making everyone's life harder than it should be.
Adult comedy, separated stories that sometimes might interweave but stay separated most of the time.

I’ve had this idea for a while now and I honestly don’t tell people much about it, so I guess there’s no better time than to share it with you now

A girl from a prosperous sky city on a cloud gets vanished from home and lands on Earth. She decides to make the best of her misfortune and tries to live on with the rest of her life (go to school, have a boyfriend, etc.) along with the help of her new earth friends. There'll be a bit of fantasy mixed in there as well to keep things interesting, but for the most part it’ll mostly be a down-to-earth, slice-of-life show.

Is it okay, anons? I’ve been worrying that it sounds too much like SvsFOE. I need closure and advice on how to make it better.

Also, Your idea sounds fun, but I can definitely see the fanbase being composed of people who like Rick and Morty
>>
>>93126385
Your idea sounds interesting. It could variate depending on how you approach certain angles. Such as the society on the clouds, how advanced or regressed it it compared to the one on the Earth. The girl as well.
As an idea it sounds solid enough. Add in some pretty animation and good characters and you could get a very comfy show.

My idea was actually inspired by Freeman's Mind. I wondered how Black Mesa would be like if everyone, to a certain degree or another, were as insane as Ross's take on Gordon Freeman.
I can see why it'd attract the Rick and Morty fanbase, though. But to remedy that I wouldn't include the Rick character everyone looks up to among them. Every scientist gets fucked over as much as they fuck people over and I'd have them lose as often as they win.

Thank you. I only wish I could draw; would be a lot eaisier to make the idea a reality that way.

A few things I probably should have added earlier:

The main villain is essentially a Nyarlathotep/Randall Flagg type figure; a demon that can take multiple forms at once and inflicts suffering largely for personal amusement. World War III and the Tribulation are revealed to have been his doing (he was able to orchestrate the Middle Eastern crisis that started the war, and the Tribulation was the result of powerful magic set loose by Islamic terrorists under his thrall). He now seeks to destroy the world for good, using his many forms to push the world toward a final nuclear conflict that will set even worse abominations than himself loose into this Universe.

The nations of the world are bound by treaty to keep the existence of the paranormal a secret, and are only allowed to utilize paranormal phenomena for the purpose of combating paranormal threats.

A major element of the show are magical artifacts and creatures left behind by an advanced alien race that visited Earth millions of years in the past. Little is known about these beings, but many of the technologies they left behind are extremely powerful, and much of the alternate Cold War was fought over which side would control these artifacts.

So is anybody here going to actually pitch one of these shows? Like, Amazon literally has a program where you can post a script and show pitch to their site. Why has nobody from /co done this? Hell, why hasn't /co as a whole done this? We constantly shit on terrible cartoons, surely we can create a good one together.

There's more:

Another major element of this show would be an ambiguously benevolent being codenamed BLUE PEACOCK. At the beginning of the series, it's existence is only vaguely alluded to by the higher-ups of the US occult intelligence community , who refer to them as their "most reliable intelligence asset". It is only later revealed that BLUE PEACOCK is a godlike being residing in multiple dimensions, and is thus able to view multiple possible futures. For unknown reasons, it chooses to communicate to humanity via the FEATHERS - young women who receive visions of possible futures in their dreams. These visions are then usually used by whatever group is in possession of the FEATHER to guide events toward the future they want. Usually only one or two FEATHERS exist in the world at any given time, and most rarely live past the age of twenty, as the (often horrific) visions they receive often provoke insanity and suicide. FEATHERS possess multiple other powers, including telepathy and telekinesis. Due to their powers and rarity, FEATHERS are highly sought after by pretty much every player in the supernatural world. At the start of the series, World War IV almost breaks out in what's left of Pakistan as the US, the USSR, China, India, Iran, the Paki government, assorted Islamic terrorists, and cultists all try to seize a FEATHER.

As for characters, I've really only thought of a few:

> A squad of hardened CIA SAD/SOG operators
> A pair of FBI agents
> A 14-year old FEATHER in US custody

Is that too much to dump in a thread like this?
>>
>>93127449
We should get some type of grading system in here. Should pitch/should not pitch, something like that. I'm serious about pitching something eventually too and having some honest and brutal feedback would be great.
>>
>>93127512
Okay, that could be neat. in that case, how do you grade my idea?
>>
>>93126509
Thanks! I’ve been thinking about exact what you’ve said for the past two years or so. The cloud people are more isolationist/nationalist. The girl, for the most part, doesn’t think too much about politics, but she does try to keep a small part of her culture in tact while still being willing to learn about earth (America) and it’s people. In terms of inspiration, I look within music (SMiLE and Pet Sounds by the Beach Boys in particular). In fact, I have an entire list of albums that could very well inspire the show and make up its aesthetic.

Sorry if I made your idea sound like a reddit-tier show, it could work out nicely if you stick to the formula you mentioned.
>>
>>93127463
Not too much, though at this point you should probably just write a script. Get this thing pitch ready.
>>
>>93127039
They're not old but they're not young either.

The oldest is twenty eight and the youngest would be the protagonist at eighteen. Young enough to still do stupid shit but old enough to not be wracked by teenage angst.

As for romance. Barely anything except two of the major four are in heavily committed relationships. And the joke is going to be if anyone is going to notice because it never really focuses on their personal lives.
>>93127392
Honestly maybe.

To be perfectly honest this idea has always been kind of second to novel writing and stuff because although I would like to do a cartoon Im not an artist.

That amazon thing sounds tempting but you have to wonder about the sheer volume they get of pitches.
>>
>>93127543
It depends. If you're aiming for a bit older audience I'd say definitely so long as you have more actual story in there. You have an intriguing premise, and I want to know more, so unless the actual story sucks, by all means, pitch away.

I'm the guy who did the best friend is a space alien story and the boy is a magical princess story BTW. Don't have to rate them. Wouldn't mind though. No pressure or anything.

Don't worry, I didn't get offended or anything. I get why many people hate Reddit; I don't hold them on a very high standard either. But I like Rick and Morty despite its shortcomings. Still, I wouldn't want my idea to be compared to Rick and Morty on the grounds that its related to scientists; I'd prefer it if people saw it for being its own thing

>>
>>93123490
The idea came around from playing around with the whole concept of secret identity, having to sacrifice personal life to fight crime. It'd be like if there were a group of people all acting as Batman at the same time, like a neighborhood watch, but no one knows the one hero is really multiple people. They'd offer back-up, take turns fighting crime, and provide cover stories for one another, but the dynamic is each one has their own reason for doing it in the first place.

>>93121034
I feel like the genderswap gimmick would get old fast though. That's the problem with those stories, once the protag adapts, it's just a magical girl story.

Idea: Make the princess a magical girl transformation. So in order to best the bad guys our protag needs to be a girl, but outside of that he's still a guy.

Make it so that for the first episode or two he can't change back, hence the "cousin" gimmick, but as the show evolves he switches off more, and becomes more comfortable with spending more timeas this assumed persona.

Young hero fighting a dragon to save the princess played almost completely straight.
It's somewhat episodic, but the hero frequently uses tools and things the hero learned in previous episodes to solve problems in later episodes. Whenever the hero is in deep shit they start losing their armor, often becoming in a state of undress wearing nothing but a loincloth.
When the story is over the hero declines to marry the princess. The show ends.
Later as the lead writer say that the hero is canonically female and that's why she didn't marry the princess despite it being the cliche thing to do.
Laugh as everyone loses their shit that a there was bare chested female on a tv and then point out that they were totally okay with it when they presumed the hero was male for my sick pleasure.

Read at your own risk:

>A recent graduate from a top law school realizes she doesn't have a job, so she applies to every single firm that might have a chance to hire her.

>She gets a ton of rejections, and just as she's about to think of joining the world of academia (gasp!), she gets hired!

>The only problem is, she's assigned as the public defender of an intergalactic federation!

I'm thinking it could be more of a comedic show, with the main character franctically getting to know all the insane, draconian laws in the federation, with maybe some snide political commentary in there.

Two cats get kicked out of a space cop academy. One is loud, vitrol, egotistical, and angry cat that wants a new life after being raised in a notorious space pirate group. The other is a dull, but very friendly cat that wants to follow in her older sister's heroic foot steps, despite not meeting the qualifications. The two travel around the galaxy to take odd jobs, in hopes of being brought back into the academy and be given the role of space cops.

The pilot would focus on the angry cat's time at the academy, while the dull one would go through her first day. By the end they both get kicked out, which leads to several episodes of random jobs.

It's a comedy action show, with a mix of overarching episodes and nonoverarching episodes (Is that the right way to say it?).

First season would be random episodes with the only plot heavy episodes being saved for the season finale.

Second season would be more plot oriented, as well as being much darker as the two cat's pasts and relationships come in to full swing. Would still have the comedy, just with more action.

Third season would be light hearted again, and focus on random jobs/adventures again.

I started writing the script a while back, but I haven't gone back to it in a while, since I'm not sure how to start it off right. I've thought about writing the parts I've got an idea on, and then coming back to figuring out where to fill the remaining areas. There's also the issue of revealing too much of a character's past to the audience, or not showing enough of it to where it's hard to get attached. I guess that would just be self editing.

That's all I've got at the moment.

>>
>>93128429
I was thinking the same thing, but on the other hand, if the boy could change back and forth he could simply just stop doing it. Most of the drama from the show would come from the fact that this isn't a thing he wanted to happen and now he has to live with it. Its the difference between Spider-Man and the X-Men. I remember watching those cartoons when I was little, and every time Spidey would whine about his life I'd just wonder why he didn't quit. But then this one episode of X-Men always stuck with me where Beast bemoans the fact that he looks like a monster. All he wants is a date with a pretty girl and he looks like a blue monkey.

But I do agree, it could either get very repetitive if every episode is "Oh shit, tits!" or it has nowhere to go beyond "Oh shit, tits!" Incredibly easy trap to fall into.
>>
>>93136929
I mean the world ain't gonna save itself, and his powers only work in princess mode. That's the motivation at first. He can't quit because there's too much at risk if he stops. And as it goes on he gets more comfortable spending longer periods of time as the princess.

Premise is far too generic to judge on its own merit. If the focus is on the cast, what are they going to be like? Too much status quo would absolutely kill that show, but it might be good with some continuity and an actual ending in mind from the beginning.

>the government wants to keep track of super humans so they make a super hero association but its actually a secret plan to wipe out all super humans by making them fight each other until only the weaker ones are left.
>roof girl joins a team made up of other school girls
>leader: brain queen, super intelligent girl with technology based weaponry. usually doesn't engage in combat
>members: diet angel, girl who eats shit tons and converts all calories into energy instantly
>arcade sisters: sisters who spent so much time in an arcade that they have an arcade themed super powers now
>hair style: girl who can control her hair
>pillow: a joke character that is literally just a weaboo waifu pillow. for some reason it is in the list of super humans
>they fight villains

>the villain also put in a mind control drug inside the chemical
>uses it to make an army
>roof girl and several heroes work together to fight the mutants
>later find the secret lab
>the villain shoots the heroes with syringes
they all get hit except roof girl, who was hold pillow

>>
An average girl and her friend are hanging out her house one night when she hears a pounding on the door. Opening it she finds a strangely familiar boy, badly wounded and near unconsciousness. He pushes his way in and tells her not to call the police, or her parents, or to open the door.

She finds out that this boy is actually her from an alternate dimension. He, or rather, they, are being hunter by multidimensional monsters. The girl is what they call a Pillar, a person who will do something important across all dimensions. There will always be a George Washington, for example. Or a Hitler. Now she must occasionally hop between dimensions with this boy, helping alternate versions of herself, wondering whether she will become important as a hero...or a villain.
>>
>>93126385
(Continued)

She knows almost next to nothing about earth culture, all she’s read about it are from a couple of essays written by people who are ‘’known’’ to have been there for research. Once she’s there, the first person she meets is a boy coming out of a supermarket. This boy has a cynical and pessimistic viewpoint of life, but he’s not an edge lord-more of deadpan snarker who’s rude, but fair. They become neighbors and see each regularly, often going on slice of life adventures together. The main character sometimes experiments with a cloud-making machine which makes all types of artificially-made clouds. To power it, you would need to go up to the atmosphere and collect cloud crystals. The machine itself is nothing more than a plaything, but . The main character herself is friendly, emotional, and gets anxious from time to time, sometimes getting caught up in with her inner thoughts and ideas.

It isn’t much yet, but with a bit more thought into it, I guess it could work out.

>>93142826

>>
>>93143038

>>
After coming into contact with a mysterious meteoroid, a young kid finds out he has superpowers. He starts out with strength and speed but overtime gets stronger. All the other powers he gains stem from his own understanding of how the speed and strength powers actually work as they relate to his emotional state

The kid is in highschool and is your typical loser. Except he isn't smart like Spiderman nor does he ever really get better. He's a shy weirdo who keeps to himself that has trouble speaking up for himself. He's bullied, yeah, but most of his problems in his social life stem from his own inadequacies. And he only gets worse once he gains these powers. He never goes full evil or anything, but he doesn't refrain from using his powers for selfish motives. Things go too far though and he starts creating new identities for himself. There's the upstanding hero he usually plays when he's fighting crime, but there's also a darker vigilante that he uses for personal vendettas

There's no real justice league in this universe, nor are there any mutants. He is the only of his kind at first and most plots revolve around his descent and how the superhero identities he creates for himself are affected by the anxiety that come from his real life and vice versa

As the show goes on, some minor sci-fi elements are introduced and they all revolve around fractions of the original meteoroid being used by emotionally unstable individuals for their own revenge against the world
>>
>>93143208

my idea for a series is a brother & sister barely survive getting hit by a meteor

over time they realize that they've developed super powers (one has energy absorption & discharge while the other has telepathy & telekinesis) & find out that the meteor was heavily radioactive

like any normal series, they believe that the meteor is what gave them their powers but later come to the realization that their powers existed long before the meteor hit. in fact, the meteor gave them both brain cancer, but the cancerous part of their brains is the same one that controls their super powers

they slowly grow more & more powerful as their cancer spreads, & have to choose between getting their cancer treated or gaining more power to fight the more powerful oncoming threats of the world they live in. one chooses to get the treatment, barely keeping any power; while the other gets sicker & sicker, growing powerful enough to take on evil gods & the such, but loses his sanity from the pain of being forced to live with the unimaginable pain

Oh there is an actual ending in mind. It's currently in the process of being drafted and reworked but each possible season is supposed to be built with the idea of working towards it. So there's maybe three seasons at most with the status kind of not existing after the first couple of episodes because an actual effort to move troops is going to start reacting extremely to an outside force.

As for the characters there's really going to be four outside the mc that really have any kind of focus on them. His father, who is all but stated to be a former military man and a SEAL, his martial arts instructor, his point of contact that helps him learn about the enemy and his rival whom is just really the first soldier of the conquering force who actively manages to put a beating on the MC to the point of making him decide to learn more in depth martial arts.

The four are supposed to be very much influences on him from his father teaching him about duty and what it entails, his instructor about inherent violence, his contact about long pointless wars and the rival really just being a constant reminder that not everyone other than the good guys is a blank slate.

Well honestly he's another part of the story that is kind of in development.

There's two versions of him as of now. A slighter older than the protagonist shock trooper and a of same age sleeper agent.

They both have ways they bounce off the protagonist that I like to the point where I'm thinking about just making them two different characters. But it might cause issues with the pacing.

At some point in the future, cloning/matter conversion has advanced to such a point that functional immortality is possible for all humans. This is done by periodically "committing" a copy of yourself to a server; if you lose an arm or die, for example, you can be "rolled back" to whatever good past version of yourself you want.

The main character is a hitman who "murders" people by manipulating them into rolling themselves back to childhood or even birth, thereby for all intents and purposes "erasing them".

Also, the people who use the committing system are looked down on by traditional "mortals", who refer to them as "gits".
>>
In the distant future humans have branched into different species due to augmentation and rapid evolution, with the most intelligent and capable (called The Others) enslaving the rest. The subjugated live their lives separately - barely aware of The Others - as they often unknowingly dedicate their lives to producing goods that propagate these higher beings' existence.

For personal pleasure, work or gain, on rare occasions individuals of The Others may choose to interact with those of the 'lesser' world. Story follows one of such individuals as they seek to make a career out of mocking and manipulating the inferior masses.

Love your idea, so cool. What would people do about their memories though, even if rolling back to their most recent instance? I think most people would rather keep their memories than get their arm back, if enough time has passed.

Maybe there would be a separate process for the mind and body, where the mind would be uploaded more often, maybe monthly or weekly?

In the distant past, humanity realized it couldn't overcome the speed of light to colonize or contact other worlds, but interdimensional portal technology circumvented that problem. A few centuries prior to the start of the story, the original society that pioneered this technology had been wiped out by some type of unknown catastrophe that wiped out almost all recorded knowledge about them, but left their portal tech completely intact for whatever reason.

In the present, there are about six or seven fully civilized worlds known as "Central Worlds", where anyone who's anyone lives. Beyond them, there are several dozen Lesser Worlds, ranging from new colonies with relatively small populations to candidates for "central" status. Relics from the past have been scavenged, mainly military weapons like tanks and rayguns.

As far as characters go, I haven't got much beyond opportunistic scavangers looking to make a killing on finding some miraculous piece of tech and selling it to a company in the Central worlds. Maybe uncovering some kind of conspiracy relating to the disappearance of the first civilization.

I had a project that was kind of similar to that but instead the green hair kid gets swapped/mistaken for the pink hat guy. The kid goes to this private prison that specializes in keeping the most weirdest dangerous creatures, beings, aliens etc. While the pink hat criminal is being sent to a boarding school.

The kid teams up with the nutty psycho dog and a goldfish for wacky escapades against the cyborg siblings that rules that prison. While the criminal is trying to escape his "prison" to go to the unique prison.

So PG-13 Superjail? I really dig the design on the fish, I can see the animation on it being really dynamic.

>1870 Klondike gold rush
>Plot concerns the residents of the tiny town of Koldernell, a mining town in the Yukon territory. The driving question would be what forces would drive men and women to the ends of the earth in pursuit of gold and glory, everybody has a secret.
>Core group consists of
>The main character would be an american wannabe con artist tolerated by the town because; A. he is really bad at it and B. someone needs to dig latrines. Hes the only character were "what you see is what you get".
>A Russian national possessed of enormous strength, working as a porter over dead horse pass till he has enough to purchase a claim. A man of very few words,(mostly "privyet" and "vodka" and "cyka blyat). Generally stoic and meant to serve as a straight man to the more colorful characters. His secret is that he is a trained Ballet dancer but was denied by the Moscow Ballet company due to his height.

The sleeper agent version is the one with the most in common with the MC.

He's not really a sleeper agent so much as a individual who is just waiting for his orders and actually regularly participates in clandestine actions.

He is an upstanding, kind, honorable and hardworking young man who just happens to be part of a race of conquers who intent to slowly infiltrate and subvert the order of the human. In that he can be viewed as pretty much what the MC would be if instead of the defending force he was part of the conquering one. Unlike others due to his upbringing he has a very deep respect for humans albeit not possessing any particular loyalty due to being firmly entrenched in his own culture and race.

You're not supposed to root for him but you're supposed to wonder how someone like him isn't one of the good guys. He is going to repeatedly show moments of genuine heroism and kindness albeit those moments are going to be soured by the fact that they typically occur as his side gets an entrenched hold in the world.

The plan is in both versions for them to eventually fuck off and sabotage their own forces but the reasoning is going to be different. For the older one he just gets tired of fighting a pointless war for a goverment that doesn't care about the costs only the possible rewards. For the younger man he eventually fucks up majorly because of that honorable nature being beat by the MC and fucking off as his superiors write him off as dead weight.

You NEED to get the scenery and camerawork right for this show. It could be a refreshing character study as far as cartoon series go if those are done right, but it would be kitschy otherwise.

This sounds like it could be a legit collaboration between independent studios or producers. Have you read Asimov's Foundation series? I recommend you read into that for character references.

>Takes place in an alternate version of Permian-period Pangaea
>Synapsids become anthropomorphic and have created technologically-advanced civilization organized into castes
>Carnivores put into lower castes
>Gorgonopsid protagonist becomes a detective to serve his/her neighborhood
>Spirals into pessimism after cracking series of inter-caste crimes
>Sticks around for eclectic social circle
>Fast-forward to last season and-a-half
>Shit goes down in main megalopolis about geothermal power and geysers/lava spouts that pop up more frequently
>Protag starts to unravel secret plan for aristocrats to escape Earth
>Drama escalates between main characters because of money and safety
>Show ends with megalopolis getting detonated by Siberian caldera
>Plan to leave Earth is tripped up to the point that almost everyone involved dies
Main character who is a dicynodont runs away in time with family

I am currently learning to draw because I realized that every concept I have is very visual in nature. the one that pushed it over the edge was "Disney Princesses as Professional Wrestlers" There is no good way to pitch what without character designs.

Forgot to leave feedback, how rude of me.
>I like it, I am getting some Zootopia vibes, but that's not a bad thing by any measure.
>I see a kind of cyberpunk aesthetic, maybe kind of 40k hive city.

>For the younger man he eventually fucks up majorly because of that honorable nature being beat by the MC and fucking off as his superiors write him off as dead weight.
>Write him off as dead weight
>Described as being competent.
Why?
>>
>>93155502
Because by that point he's lost to the MC more times than he's won.

It's sort of ridiculous and the last fight was incredibly publicized. Which leads to them labeling him as such despite the fact that really he's kind of the only person with a consistent win ratio to the MC.

A teen wakes up one day, surrounded in his own garbage and realizes, his life sucks dick. The show revolves around this fat tub of lard improving himself in any way he can. For example, one of the first episodes is him trying to work out. This guy is still a lazy bastard, but the show revolves around him trying to get past that, and become a better person overall. That's the basic premise at least

The series stars a magical dragon named Nightsky Flicker, who is a pupil of Dracestria’s ruler Princess Solaria. Seeing the young dragon buried in books, the princess sends her to Dragonville and gives her the task of making friends. Along with her assistant, a baby unicorn named Thorn, she becomes friends with the tomboyish Prism Sprint, glamorous Scarcity, hard-working Bouldercrush, timid Flusterfly, and hyperactive Party Puss. Together they explore the ins and outs of the town and solve various problems. Each episode usually ends with Nightsky Flicker reporting back to Solaria on some aspect of friendship that she has discovered in the process, either through her own experience or by watching the other dragons.

A hundred years ago, the sky opened up, and out came demons from another world. Humanity fought back, but despite their advanced technology, they were driven nearly extinct by the onslaught of the demon hordes. In a last ditch effort, the remaining humans locked themselves away in 6 impenetrable domed cities, looking for an opportunity to strike back, and reclaim their world.

But, instead, they found life inside the domes pretty cozy, and decided to let those nasty demons have the world they destroyed.

Nowadays, life is basically automated. Everyone performs their duties, and no one is really scared of losing their way of life. In a word, life inside the domes is...boring.

Far too boring for our hero. Enter Flook Everyman, a garbageman, who, is terminally bored. At the end of his rope, and tired of the relentless monotony of his existence, Flook ventures into the Demon Wastelands by himself, armed with nothing but his garbage disintegration ray, for one simple purpose: To die an interesting death.

However, when he gets outside, he is quickly pulled into a battle that will decide the fate of the multiverse, along the way meeting good demons, bad humans, insane AIs, and worst of all, a being of great and terrible power from the void between the worlds.

I don't know so much about it. Depends on the level of comedy. But we don't want to go the Red vs Blue route of having good comedy and then jarring fan fiction level drama. I'd like to see a pilot first. Has potential!
Plot for mine:
Intended audience; Teen+
The only comparison I can honestly think of for this Animated Movie is the anime "Guin Saga" for its approach to medieval/fantasy conflict without super cliche' animu bullshittery.

An order of knights from a kingdom are scattered as an invading force using malevolent magic takes over much of their land, leaving their kingdom and surrounding lands absolutely crippled. Their king is dead and they must protect the heir to the throne (because, you know, monarchy). The greatest of the knights fell in battle or during the retreat. Now the a few knights remain. Our main character is a squire who was intended to become a knight shortly after all this shit went down. So he's still a squire, and 'his' knight is dead. Now their only hope is to gather remaining allies from surrounding countries (notably a certain country that'll be tricky but has the power to help) as well as have the church assemble a force.

This world will have fantasy. There'll be dwarves and elves and non-cliche races that'll not be a rip of Tolkein's world like almost every other fantasy, but not so much as to bog down the story.

Note: Despite the existance of magic, our protags will not rely on it heavily/at all throughout the movie. So that the inevitable fight with the Mother Fucking Dragon will be that much more badass.

I'd say my main inspirations on humor for it would be Metalocalypse and Always Sunny. So, there'd be a lot of just insane, ridiculous conversations, in the downtime between action.

Also, tell me more about this fantasy world. Are there necromancers?

>Their king is dead and they must protect the heir to the throne (because, you know, monarchy).
How old is the heir, like a baby or a young warrior in their own right?

>Its been nearly a 800 years since the Long Night and 900 since the time of the Old Ones who built the first Steel Cities.
>Not much is known of them besides that. Scholar Monks and Iron Mages claim they created the great beasts of both metal and flesh that roam once roamed theses lands, now beaten back to the blasted wastes. The Gun Worshipers claim these creatures to be Abominations and that they have the divinely appointed task to rub out the sins of the past with their Relic Weapons, still more potent than the fire-talkers made by modern men.
>Others say that the land was once United under a single banner and not split into the hundreds of petty Kingdoms, Republics and Empires. That they made use of machines that could send voices over the wind; replicated to this day, despite years of study and experimentation. The closest reconstructions only create the sound of rain.
>Answers to these questions may lie with the Archive, the great Thinking Machine buried beneath the Island of Manaton. But the Archive Guards its Knowledge jealously, protected at all times by Cyber Paladins who may be seen at times far from home carrying out the inscrutable will of their master.
>For my part, I watch the skies. I do as 700 years worth of my predecessors have done. I watch the position of the stars, I observe the Lunar Cities and their people, I watch for messages from the Sighted Star, and I watch, with dread for new stars appearing, for they may bear with them the Outsiders and a True End for humanity.
Think Thundarr the Barbarian.
