How do you figure? Most of the roster is recycled MvC3 characters, and yet in spite of that it's smaller than vanilla MvC3's roster. It's so bare bones compared to what came before it. You can argue that DLC will "save" it, except that's another issue. Why the fuck should we have to pay to get a decent roster? Tekken 7 and KoFXIV showed up SFV with their starting rosters and look to do the same with MvCI's. But people will still defend Capcom's shitty decisions to rip-off their consumer base.

Capcom is their biggest client by far. They've done comics of Street Fighter, Captain Commando, Rival Schools, Darkstalkers, and I think Cyberbots. I don't remember the Darkstalkers or Rival Schools books being all that great but it's been a while. They've also released artbooks for Marvel vs. Capcom, Dragon's Dogma, and a bunch for a bunch of non-Capcom stuff like Assassin's Creed.

For manga they've done the adaptations of Kill la Kill, Persona 3/4, and I think Strider too.

That reminds me, I think the very first first Darkstalkers manga, a weird one focusing on Victor that takes all sorts of odd liberties with the story, got republished on some sort of online service a while back, but it's something you need to pay for.

No, I think so too. As a huge SF fan I hate it that they are the ones in charge of making all comics now. It's such unbeliavably boring and safe garbage. All the characterizations are pretty bad too (and it's not like there's much to begin with).

I recommend you check out the mangas by Masahiko Nakahira, plenty of his work ended up inspiring the game's plotlines.
Ryu Final is the greatest thing that has ever happened to SF in terms of writing and it saddens me that it will never be canon.

Well, I ended up ordering the Darkstalkers ultimate collection trade on the recommendation of a few anons when #1 of this series was storytimed a while back. You guys were not kidding about the crappy binding. Even I, with extensive practice and gluing books back together like it was fresh from the printers', couldn't do anything about this one. I contacted Amazon and they've since sent TWO replacements. The first was damaged and fell apart, the second fell apart altogether with the binding glue falling off the spine area, and the third just separated the pages from the spine. I MIGHT be able to reattach the third one, but I'm honestly not sure it's worth the effort at this point.

I also contacted Udon's customer care and they basically said, "Oh, that's a reeeeaaally old title that's out-of-print now and the binding glue has likely long since expired. Sorry about that, but there's nothing to be done! Keep in mind, that we may someday (though we have no plans currently) reprint those stories in standard sized trade paperbacks. However, we'd like to offer you a complimentary copy of Street Fighter vs Darkstalkers #0, should you be interested, so that you might buy our new monthly series!" After saying I wouldn't mind, Udon has not contacted me any further.

It's not just about Bison. Bison was the catalyst for his turn. Sagat has other aspects of his background that don't make him exactly a clear cut good guy. He is repeteadly portrayed as brutal and harsh if not straight up condescending, even after he mellowed out and became a good guy. He murdered Dan's father, for one, and that was completely on his own.

In fact, the reason he mellowed out in the first place was because of an encounter with Dan and his realization that he was just as angry and vengeful, which ended with him actually letting Dan win and quitting Shadaloo at the end of Alpha 3.

I'm not arguing Sagat is a bad guy or even that he's amoral, just that he's not exactly a "good guy" either by virtue of his backstory and his characterization. And this works great for him.
