And yeah, while the worldmind wasn't technically in there with him, is it too much of a stretch to think it came to him when he asked for all the power of the Nova force? It managed to talk with him, so obviously there was still a connection between, however faint it was.
And the Thanos thing, c'mon, this is a world where no one dies. The Revengers probably just woke him up from being a statue, and needed him to try and figure out if they could do anything with the cosmic cube Rich left behind, especially considering Thanos knows so much about the cubes.

Everyone agrees Sean didn't care much for continuity at all, and Worldmind was also a part of Rich for some reason? But he had to go to the spot where Richard went to the cancerverse, so again, maybe the Worldmind somehow found a way to go in after him immediately following the Thanos Imperitave. Maybe when Bendis made Richard "the door", the worldmind was able to fully establish a connection with him?

the cancerverse Thanos had nothing to do with them staying immortal. They had defeated their universe's death, and it was introduced when 616 Death made 616 Thanos her avatar after he had returned from death.
So then when Richard left them with a cube, they woke up statue Thanos and got him to inspect the cube. Cue Worldmind getting cancerfied

An anon spoke to Perez at a con who revealed that Loveness had the series arc plotted for 21 issues.

Marvel canned it after issue 5 was complete and originally didn't give them any extra issues to end the story. Eventually Marvel caved and gave them 2 issues to reach their planned endpoint.

So issues 6 & 7 are rushed/abridged versions of the original plans for 6-21.

While I don't think the New Warriors would've gotten a full arc, It wouldn't surprise me if issue 21 was planned as an 'Epilogue' reuniting Rich with various characters.

I feel like in the case of a Nova movie, the result would be different from what happened with Antman since he'd have ties with GotG, which is still massively popular with the bandwagon. Let's be real, Antman wasn't any measure of success as far as MCU movies go.
The GotG's popularity in comics shrank pretty quickly (just look at Star-Lord), but still, Rich would see a small resurgence at least.

As you can see Rich at one point went more than a decade without his own comic for having low sales while Carol after she became Captain Marvel kept getting constantly relaunched regardless of doing a poor performance. Nova suffers if it does bad, Captain Marvel just gets a new creative team and keeps going because it's a priority comic since she's going to be in the MCU (and initially because she was Wacker's pet project).

So yeah Carol can sell poorly and still get a fresh new comic in a span of a year or less, Rich is not as popular or as pushed nor is he a pet character so he gets shelved. I can understand why at least other fans of c-list characters might be pissed because of that especially since Carol's comics haven't been good and with the exception of vol. 9 none of the writers really know what to do with the YASS Queen.

At the end of the miniseries, SURPRISE! He didn't actually undergo a transformation. He uses up all his energy and returns to normal Scott.
