Whenever the owners can work things out? Problem I have with it is the characters actually meeting Aliens should be fucked because that's the nature of Aliens, and generally that means the Aliens will Alien some literally whos.
Dredd wiped out the Alien infestation, got an abortion and it just added to his lifelong load of horrible trauma. It was fun but it cheapens the Aliens.
Stormwatch may be the crossover that works best for this. Ellis got tapped to write it and he used it as an _end_ for Stormwatch. But it's not like you can do a HIVE: CORUSCANT story that kills Palpatine, Vader and most named characters.
