I liked him, but the best sidekick goes to Olaf.

I didn't like frozen but ironically the character that I thought I was gonna hate was my favorite.

Olaf was selfless and helpful and sometimes funny. Easily best companion

Hei Hei was originally a more serious and stern character that tried to keep Moana out of trouble like a silent Sebastian. Then somebody decided "What if we made him retarded instead?" and the rest is history.
