Has Jurgens EVER written anything good?
I like his Thor run, that maybe mostly or all on JRJR though.

Is it true that Aaron pretty much ripped it off for the Gorr stuff? I haven't read Jurgens Thor run.
>>93015253
Thor v2.
>>93015392
Not just Gorr. But aged Thor, a female version of Thor, etc. He is definitely heavily influenced by Jurgens and I think at least Aaron has admitted that was his favorite take on the character.
>>93015392
I'm not familiar with Aaron's run so I couldn't say, also Jurgens wrote for awhile after JRJR left ( his run is like 80 issues and JRJR is gone by 25) and I know nothing about that stuff

Does any batch of characters have it worse than Titans z-listers? It's like they only exist to get slaughtered in events.
>>93015451
They're not even safe in their own book. Fucking Titans Hunt.
>>93015253
His Booster Gold is a consistent 7/10
>>93015253
Honestly this was a lot better than Wolfman's run towards the end.
>>93015509
There's no disputing, it's just Jurgens seems to crank out mediocrity after mediocrity
>>93015253
I remember liking Armageddon 2001 when I first read it. But I haven't read it in over a decade and there was the whole infamous Armageedon 2001 drama.
I want to like the guy, he created Booster Gold for Christ's sake. He's just really really subpar at writing comics. Other people can take his stuff and it becomes a hundred times better.
>>93015477
You're rating Jurgen's run too high. JLI Booster is Godly. John's Booster is amazing! Jurgen's Booster? At best a 5.
>>93015253
he's probably the most consistently mediocre writer in the industry
boring as fuck for the past three decades
>>93015392
100% rehash just with better art, Aaron is a hack
>>93015253
That was actually the first Teen Titans comic I ever read and really enjoyed the series at the time. I haven't read it since it was originally published and I was a dumb teenager at the time so my opinion probably shouldn't be trusted.
>>93015253
As far as I'm concerned Dan is a pretty good artist and a decent writer. Maybe not outstanding but not bad.
>>93015577
Not that guy but I picked up the first issue a while ago and it was neat. It's not 10/10 of course, but it had humor and was fun.
Reminder that Morrison was gonna write Teen Titans but Jurgens replaced him
>>93018419
Would it have been GOAT?
>>93016769
Sounds like it should be trusted by teens. Don't dismiss your opinions because you grew out of them. They still matter for demography.
His original Superman run is underrated IMO.
It didn't really need to get brought back into continuity, though.
