Honestly, I picked it up in season one, because I saw a thread that painted it as a series that packs a huge emotional punch, and also because I thought Maureen looked cute and deserved porn. But all things considered, the the plot definitely revolves around the mom and dad, which works perfectly as this is a family dramedy.
