As a lifelong Dragon Ball fan, I never understood why so many people hated GT. Especially the first 13 episodes, which is honestly some of the best Dragon Ball stuff ever. Everything post Baby, when it just turns into a poor man's Z, yeah. That stuff is bad. But before Baby, it was very similar to the original Dragon Ball. Just a really fun adventure. Plus, GT fixed a lot of the garbage that plagued Z by the end of the series.

1. No more ridiculous Goku power levels. Turning him into a kid was one thing, but not having Goku be able to solve everyones problem with his ridiculous strength right away brought the stories back down to a human level, which would lead to more compelling stories.
2. Took away Instant Transmission, which even in Super is used too often for bullshit DXM. Goku needs to go to hell instantly? IT.

Plus GT has the best OP and ED songs in the whole series.

That episode where he the dead where escaping from hell and Piccolo went "bitch, I am the King of Demons, send me down there now" and then started wrecking shit in the afterlife so he would be sent to hell to keep the damned souls from escaping was fucking great.
Piccolo somehow always manages to be the most based Z fighter.
