it takes forever to update between scenes because the dumbass 3D models all the backgrounds, so he has to BUILD a new set every time they change rooms, but as long as they stay in one room the comic can go fast because he can just move the camera around the room.

Really makes you think.
>>
>>92976108
I just love how the writer dances on the absolute razor edge of magical realm.
>>
>>92976029
I never claimed otherwise. Beryl was there. She - like all of her cast- has eidetic memory and it's her duty to store and spread information.
Telepathy is a very truthful and immediate transferral of memorys. An occasion as important as the first words spoken between Loroi and Humans is as importand as Neil Armstrong setting foot on the moon.

Literally all of Loroi society and all future generations will have seen Alex Jardin naked.
>>
>>92976064
This also the writer has a insane obsession with background info. He's actually built every aspect of Loroi culture and mapped out every ship with seen.
>>
>>92976108
Beryl meant Alex unusual tallness. Word of god on penis size is that Loroi males are rather well endowed for their size.
>>
Seems interesting enough, I'll bother to read it if he keeps up the pace.
I've been into too many webcomics where the author pissed off for a few years between pages.
>>
>>92976029
>'m assuming the pilots were there when they cut him out of his suit.
Likely not. Unless they cut him out of the suit on the flight deck. The Loroi took him to medical bay first, I suspect.
>>
>>92976392
But unlike those other Webcomics, there always is a next page eventually.
>>
>>92976276
"for their size" how big is a male? could have an angler fish situation and all males are midgets.
>>
>>92976522
They're a bit smaller than Loroi females. For comparison, Fireblade is considered tall. Males aren't midgets. If I recall correctly it's about the same difference in average as with us.
>>
>>92975606
I mean, it was like five pages in a month given that one came out the first of May.

I love the premise and I'd love to have this grow, but anyone just seeing this for the first time should know this isn't typical at all.

Also,
>literally a society that considers hand holding to be lewd
>>
>>92976522
They're not midgets but they'd be considered manlets by human standards.

They're the average human female's height IIRC, which is 5'4".
>>
>>92976654
For some reason I'd imagine that as a race, their height would have less variation than ours.

A lot of human height differences (globally) are nutritional based (which shouldn't be as much an issue for a space based society which inherited genetically enhanced super foods) and those space elves are a genetically engineered race, so height variations are likely to be less pronounced (if they were intended as a soldier race, why have wide height ranges to have to create uniforms/ship spaces to adjust?)

I guess my point is, if I see a 6'4" girl I'm like
>"Damn, she is tall!"
But it's not an impossibility in my mind.

If I saw a 7'6" girl I'd be shocked a bit though. Alex is that girl to them, because males are likely uniformly short
>>
>>92976907
Alex is the same size as Fireblade and while she is considered tall, she is no freak. So Alex is the equivalent of a 1,85m girl.

Are 6'4" 6 Double Whoppers and 4 McCheese stacked on each other?
>>
>>92977417
Yeah, but if I saw a gerbil that was the size of a man, I'd be concerned.

To the Loroi, we may be that gerbil. If a species is used to the males ALWAYS (if their standard deviations of height are much smaller than ours) being shorter than females, he is exceptional.

My point was not that they'd consider him tall by their standards for females of their race, but that they wouldn't naturally place their own males as ever being so tall.
>>

>>

I kinda hope the blue space chicks are evil and the bug people are the good guys
>>
>>92979376
it's obvious that the bugs are good guys
>>
>>92976224
Why would they all feel the need to know?

>>92979376
Both sides have a join or else philosophy and have an obsession with a previous civilization.
>>
>>92980381
How? The war began with a massive and planned offensive of the Umiak. The Umiak have installed brutal and oppressive occupations of Loroi worlds, mass murdering the civilian populations. They also treat their allies as slaves, forcing them to spent their population and planets on the war effort.

In comparison to that the Loroi have shown somewhat more restraint. Only after the Loroi have been brought to the brink of extinction did they enact the non neutrality act. Their target was a species that was somewhere between accepting and helpful of Umiak invasion of Loroi territory from their ports.

It's clear from the comic and the Insider that the Loroi, bellicose they may be, had no offensive into Umiak territory planned when the war started. For the most part, the Loroi were on the defensive.

The Umiak also used the Loroi populations they did capture in Unit 731 styled research.

Thanks to the history the Loroi and Umiak both had with the predecessor empire, the Soia, it's an ideological war for the Umiak. Loroi claim to be Soia descendants, while the Umiak had to wage a war against a version of themselfes gene modified by the Soia, after having been enslaved for some time.

The Umiak may not be evil, but they're clearly not good either.
>>
>>92980723
I just like the cut of their jib
>>
This is the first time I've seen it talked about here, Its always been a /tg/ thing that i've seen.
>>
>>92980484
>Why would they all feel the need to know?
For one, humans and Loroi are incredibly similar to each other. The setting has several sister species of an original and a gene modded version. How Loroi and humans look so much alike is anyones guess by now. But it's clear there is something going on and if not, we're still a super curiosity for the Loroi.
The other big reason is that we humans are actually immune to Loroi mind meld and mind reading techniques. They can't even sense us with their psionics. We're the only species they can't sense. Just imagine if the humans in Star Trek couldn't hear the Vulcans or something.

First contact between our two species is one of those moments that go down in history for the Loroi.

Why would they need to know what Alex looked like? It's the complete package. The perfect, eidetic memory Beryl made from Alex waking up is shared amongst Listel and Loroi historians. It may not be broadcastes 24/7, but they will all have seen the memory at least once.

Just like every single adult of a western nation has seen the footage of Neil Armstrong jumping on the moon.

Ok, /tg/. A genie offers you a deal. You maybe get to marry one of the characters from Outsider. The person will be highly motivated to make the marriage a success. But the chance you have of actually marrying that person is on the scale of 1 - 100. For every raw onion you eat within a day, that chance goes up by one. How many onions would you eat for

Young Loroi get a mating encounter with a male when they succeed in their rite of passage. So they're pregnant in first year of school.

That means every character in the story is a milf. Only exception is Fireblade, who grew up under Umiak occupation and therefore didn't get a mating encounter. But I might misremember. Another possible exception is Tempo, since she is in her fifties and was therefore born when population growth wasn't on wartime rate. So she may have skipped her mating encounter and just never got one afterwards.

Loroi society does not typically allow that males are monogamous, though high-ranked women can 'hog' a male on a long-term basis if they know what strings to pull.

Honestly if there was any interest they'd probably just pass him around, but I don't think that's going to happen.

>Loroi society does not typically allow that males are monogamous

It's been forever since I last read the comic, has that cultural difference between Loroi and Humans been brought up?
>>
>>92981987
If I remember, the author has explicitly said that humans won't get to pull a technological deus ex machina out of their collective asses. So our fate is in the hands of one low-ranking scout corps officer who hasn't even noticed this one space elf wants to ride his baloney pony yet.
>>
>>92982166
>Age 14

>Two lines blacked out

>>
>>92982203
That specific fact, no. But Alex was asked how often human males need to have 'mating encounters' to remain healthy, because in loroi society it's believed men need to screw regularly to stay sane (I don't remember if this is true or a cultural conceit).

Alex explains very quickly that human men don't work that way and they won't need to find him some sort of masturbatory device.
>>
>>92982263

>>92982300
Did Insider confirm that?

Honestly human men would probably spend a good portion of their time rutting, too, if society was contrived to make it always on the table.
>>
>>92981957
Nah, the 'twist' will be that the loroi decide to genocide humans because we sorta disprove their claims to be the direct descendants of a previous interstellar empire. They base this claim in that they have no naturally occuring counterparts and were found on several separate worlds, so they MUST OF COURSE be the true inheritors of that empire.

Disproving the founding myth of an empire in the middle of a massive war when morale is already flagging seems like something the loroi might want to avoid.
>>
>>92982342

Yep.

"A 10-to-1 split between female & male? That's pretty skewed. Don't most higher animals with two sexes pretty much split it right down the middle?"

>>
>>92982592

The world needs more blue fuckable space elves. Of course the chances of meeting said elves in real life is higher than seeing the end of this comic unless this current update schedule is going to be the new norm. If that happens the end times are nearly here.
>>
>>

I kinda wish Humanity could be neutral
>>
>>92976522
The Bio says that males are full on manlets and rarely get over 5' tall ad are typically slightly built

They're also biologically rare, ~10% of the population, so they stay well away from any kind of conflict.

Before we get too carried away, let's remember that to Loroi, human men are like 6,5", swole Amazons. They may appeal to some, but not everyone wants a barawife
>>
>>92982943

>>
>>92980763
The author has done a really good job of making the bug people more interesting and unique than I've ever seen any other story do with bug people before. And he even managed to do it while keeping some of the classic bug people tropes such as e.g. their disregard for individuality. Unfortunately this is all restricted to behind the scenes info dumps for now, but hopefully we'll be seeing more of them in the comic.

Yeah, genociding harmless primitives is not how you impress people and get them to join your side in a war.
>>
>>92986617
Oh that is merely details. The Historians are well beyond any true alliance unless they somehow would find themselves on the losing end of the war, which considering the technological difference between them and both bugs and loroi, that won't be happening anytime soon. Historians are there merely in it because Umiaks went through their territory to attack Seren (capital sector of the Loroi)

The Loroi are extremely militant and border on xenophobic in their treatment of other races. At this stage, genocide wouldn't be too much of a surprise for what little remains of the galactic community.

Their one concern is the Historians, which are sort of a big deal. From what I remember (because I haven't read the lore pages in years), Historians are basically a fallen empire from Stellaris. They mind their own business but they'll remove you if you bother them too much. Beyond them, the whole war is carried by the Loroi, every other nation is merely details.

If the Historians decided to favour the bugs instead of them, it won't be long before the Loroi collapse.

I'm not, but I was worried about people thinking that because of the Leppians. The fleeting hope that she'd betray her nation because your dickgame is THAT GOOD
>>
>>93003669
Because, get this, she is the most fluent in the human way of communicating. All the spy shit she is up to concerns only Loroi, since humans have perfect Lotai (mindblock)

Besides, she is more a political officer than a true spy. She isn't active behind enemy lines. So waifuing her means hopefully that I'm safe from the elf SS.

Tempo is in her fifties and such somewhat of a rarity in Loroi society, because she was born in peacetime. In wartime the Loroi are pumping out new generations. As such Tempo is unusually experienced and did not only survive full 25 years of warfare, she only took part in the Mizol coup that saw Empress Greywind take over.

Since Stillstorm is an outspoken opponent of Greywind and has the political weight by exemplary success in 25 years of continuous frontline duty behind her, Tempos main duty was likely keeping an eye on Stillstorm. So you can guess at the importance of her in the political system if she was tasked with Stillstorm.

Isn't there a theory though that humans are the base model that the Loroi were crafted from?

There are a few other races that have found "proto" versions of themselves (but not blue). The Loroi did not have such a relationship until they found Humans, and as such they claimed to be the descendants, rather than creations, of the precursors in that universe. The fact that they had telepathic abilities was further claim.

Humans may have something natural about them that was the basis for the psionics the Loroi have (basically inverting the ability to be closed off) or being the template makes them immune or something. Who knows.
>>
>>93005773
There's a metric fuckload of setting info on the site, but here's the basics:

>a bunch of ancient precursor types called the Soia dominate the region a few hundred thousand years ago before collapsing/vanishing
>they leave behind a whole bunch of genetically engineered species across their former empire, including sapient life
>the Loroi claim to be the direct descendants of the Soia, basing this claim on their location on three separate homeworlds before they could develop spaceflight and that they have no equivalent species in nature like other Soia-engineered races do
>Humanity is disturbingly similar looking to the Loroi, and could potentially fuck with that claim
>>
>>93005773
Most of the species in the Outsider universe are genetic modifications/uplifts of other creatures in the area created by an ancient, now long extinct empire. Pretty much every other race is found on a planet with suspiciously similar animals, except for the Loroi, who were apparently simply created wholesale.

The Loroi have used this little fact to portray themselves as the rightful successors of this ancient empire, because obviously the only thing that could have been used as their template race was said ancient empire.

Then a human comes along looking really similar to the loroi but not blue.
>>
>>93005351

We humans are immune to Sanzai because every plant on our planet has it. So to enjoy an apple in peace, we turned deaf to the anguished screams of the fruits.

This will come up in the comic when Jardin eats a human ration and the Loroi are horrified at the pleads for mercy.

Hopefully we don't end up "conveniently vanishing" rather than having the Loroi deal with the political/ideological shift they'd face with losing their claim as progenitors.

Luckily, humans are far enough away from the Loroi... and the Loroi are a bit busy with the war. Also, the other races have already seen Alex, so that can't be ignored.

The humans are the only "template" race that has managed to make it to the stars unaided. Even the Loroi are far more advanced than they should be, because they were given a ton of tech without inventing it.
>>
>>93006386
So besides the old ones, Humans are the only race to have gotten to space without help, good job Humans. I wonder how much damage control the loroi will try
>>
>>93005930
I think it's that the Loroi were originally an uplifted species left behind by the predecessor race. Their psychic powers, longevity, biochemical efficiency, and mental abilities are a tall order when it comes to evolutionary quirks, but they make sense when applied to a tailored species.
By that metric it's also likely that the species that they were uplifted from were either similar to early hominids, or very well WERE early hominids taken from earth eons ago and changed beyond recognition.

The latter are literally young adults, they mature differently than humans.

It'll still probably weird Alex out at some point when he realizes a lot of the Loroi are, by his gut reckoning, "child soldiers."

I'm guessing at humanity being the direct descendant species of the Soia.

Something drove them to hit the reset button on spacefaring development.
they bombarded species into a dark age, even their own subject species, then just fucked off.
there was no sign of a hostile empire taking over.
they just tipped over the applecart, reset it all and vanished.

whatever the reasons behind this, they found a system capable of sustaining themselves, named it Sol.

Of course, I'm basing this off only a few in story elements:

the assumption the Loroi use terms and words from their Soia masters, in particular the phrase Solon, their term for time span the duration of a heartbeat. Made me think of the Sol system.

the fact that if a species bred a subject race to be psionic, they would also breed a blind spot into that species regarding themselves to ensure they were not arming their successors.

Maia grain looks suspiciously like wheat.

It is unlikely the resistance to psionic power would have been shared, therefore, it's his appearance caused the reaction from the historians and the barsam. without a trait to differentiate him from just another Soia-Lirom species type, he would just be considered as any of the others were. Another offshoot recently encountered and slow to get back into space.
Ergo, something about his appearance contravenes claims and assertions made by the Loroi.

I have to admit though, it's more guessing that the trope would fit with the story than any real indication from what's been written so far.
>>
>>93010373
the word "Sol" is from Latin, a relatively young language that came into existence about 100k years after the galactic precursor empire vanished.

True.
even assuming an atlantean like remnant trying to hold on to elements of what once was, it'd be too long a period.

>>93010717
well, you posted a pic from battlestar galactica.

they came up with a solution to a similar problem.
namely, autopiloting it all into the best waste disposal spot in the system.

The reason they 'fell' has to be something internal.
Either ideologically based or something else that drove them to try to wipe the slate clear.

There wasn't another species involved from what we've been told so far.
No war in heaven
namely because there's no evidence of a competitor species amongst the fragments that evidence the Soia, and the damage to the subject races originated with the Soia. (it could be argued that was a scorched earth strategy admittedly)

The Barsam view the event as the soia giving up on the primitive and barbarous ways of the lesser species they were trying to uplift (in a moral sense).
In fairness, they have gone and found space jesus so their interpretation is going to be influenced by that, but it does seem to indicate a withdrawal rather than an ousting.

again, its more my suspicion that this is the story element being used, rather than any solid evidence.

All this said, I've got a feeling it'll be a damn long time before we ever know one way or another.
>>
>>93010373
This doesn't add up all that well, we know that Earth is no where near the Zone of the old empire, but that doesn't mean they had no scout ships out there.

We know that the Old Empire made it a habit of subjecting other races to heavy modification to use as a work force. We know that the Loroi and almost every other races are a product of this, they do not mod the whole race though. Leaving the original population back on their home planet and that they haven't been everywhere in the galaxy.

Most likely they found Earth, took a bunch of Photo Humans and then GMO the fuck out of to get something Loroi like. They probably found a number of other races all over the galaxy and brought a population back to their zone.
>>
>>93010373
We've got some pretty damn conclusive evidence that Humans originated and developed on this planet. So unless the fall of the Soia completely eradicated every single shred of their artifacts on their own homeworld, I find that unlikely.

Additionally, the reason the Barsam had the reaction he did is due to the Loroi partly basing their claims in having no natural counterparts. Humanity, potentially being the template for the Loroi, could contradict their claims, but by no means prove that Humanity was the Soia.

Also, if you could genetically alter a species to have amazing OP pls nerf psychic powers, why wouldn't they engineer that into themselves instead of creating a potentially rebellious slave species? Or hell, give themselves even better powers while they're at it.

Wheat isn't a natural species, having been essentially bred into usefulness over several millennia, so the similarity to a space species is likely a coincidence. It used to be fucking grass.

>>93011206
Empire from the Ashes did a pretty good job with that, actually.

>god i hope not, the only thing that pisses me off more in scifi than "aliens are our gods and creators"

It already pretty much confirmed to have happened to the Loroi, which are probably more important int the context of the comic, they also believe they are the creators.

My biggest is ancient race that mysteriously went extinct for reasons.

I don't think much holds up in the setting under scrutiny honestly, maybe culture?

Heh, I posted the BG pic because my second most hated plot point was their "our tools have grown faster than our hearts, we need to return to the primitive" ending. I get that that would have sounded good to people who had been kept in cramped, barely functioning ships for years, but I bet a lot of them regretted the decision once everyone started dying from animal attacks and minor diseases.

my MOST hated plot point was the "angels"
>>
I think humans are just random and are in no way related to the old empire

>>93011348
>Also, if you could genetically alter a species to have amazing OP pls nerf psychic powers, why wouldn't they engineer that into themselves instead of creating a potentially rebellious slave species? Or hell, give themselves even better powers while they're at it.

If they could create a race based around it they probably didn't need to engineer themselves to figure out a way to use it. Also having everyone broadcast thoughts telepathically sounds horrible.

Actually we don't know how powerful telekinetic powers were back in the day so they might have had better inorganic implementations.

Not that it proves anything either way.

think of other races like the ship they destroyed.

If the race allies with them, good. If not, and they decide to stay neutral, then they risk that race falling into enemy hands and becoming a liability later on.

And seeing as how they have apparently been betrayed several times by supposed "neutral" outsiders, theyve just stopped taking the risk.

Like the conversation with Hamilton went, it's not so much about the Loroi committing genocide, so much as it is about how the other guys treat their friends. facing potential genocide is preferable to facing possible enslavement, and if not, possibly genocide anyway

I'm pretty sure the real twist will be that the entire war was started by a third party.

Someone who saw tensions between the bugs and the Loroi, and decided to light the spark and create a war.

whoever that is, is also responsible for destroying the Bellarmine, and has some sort of plan for Humanity's involvement in the war. probably they dont want there to be any meaningful contact, which is why they destroyed a ship who's purpose was to wave a white flag and "talk"

Why on earth would you assume that their dicks are so ridiculously huge that all the space elf vaginas are blown out and useless? Wouldn't it be more reasonably to assume 9 inches or something? Also, the female space elves have sex so rarely that their vaginas would still be reasonably tight even if the dicks were literally the size of a newborn baby.

seriously though, why is he just giving away the location of Earth? I figured that would be one of his most closely guarded secrets throughout the comic.
>>
>>93014758
It may be a valid security concern on her part. Jardin is literally unreadable with Sanzai. He has perfect Lotai, something unheard of. It's not a big stretch to assume he also can read minds. So touching him is potentially dangerous.

Then again, look at the pages where Beryl straps him in. She is happy to constantly be in his personal space.
>>
>>93014932
They already tried touching him.

Lorai are the only known race with telepathic abilities, they probably haven't seriously considered him having any.
>>
>>93014900
He has stated both to the Loroi and to himself that if he doesn't get to the rendezvous point soon he'll be listed as MIA and written off as dead.
>>
>>93014900
The whole point of his mission was to make contact on Humanity's terms rather than wait for one side of the war to stumble upon them while trying to flank their enemies. The Orgus found Human space, and that was just one ship.

Contact is inevitable, and Earth's location would be hard to hide after that, given that it holds 99%> of Humanity in the setting. They have nothing to gain from hiding the location and the potential to gain some measure of trust. They're planning on allying with one of these powers, and that'd be a tough sell if they tried to hide.
>>
>>93014741
>Also, the female space elves have sex so rarely that their vaginas would still be reasonably tight even if the dicks were literally the size of a newborn baby.

> 1 in 8 are male.
> the males have to have sex every (some time period expected to be relevant to his relatively short stay on the ship) or they die
Even if *all* of them are staying at home making babies instead of going off to war and dying, they'd still probably be having enough sex to be constantly pregnant.

it was on his website for 10 years, this comic is literally almost 20 years old
>>
>>93018555
Ah, you meant in the buzzword movie definition.

Also I didn't know that, Yami. Something else lost to the sands of internet time, I guess. I couldn't find any reference to this anywhere.
>>
>>93002019

MOO is incredible. It feels a lot like Alpha Centauri, with more complex unit design and combat.
>>
>>93015566
Incidentally dubsman, that's also the day the first page got put up.
>>
My money is on humans having some sort of innate psychic nature. Something subtle enough that can't really be proven among their own, but obvious to an outside species with a different psychic bent. As a real world parallel, you get those saying they can read others, and do so well enough to be convincing. Except that could also just be people very good at noticing body language. You also get people good at sensing their environment, but it's not considered extra sensory.

But, you know, what if it was? For the purpose of a fantasy/scifi setting?

>Empire from the Ashes did a pretty good job with that, actually.
>>93011517
>Not him is it any good?
I thought it was good.

Basic premise is that the Moon is a giant spaceship in disguise, that tens of thousands of years ago suffered a mutiny. Life support was destroyed in the fighting, so everyone had to abandon ship. However, the mutineers had prepared better hardware, and destroyed anyone who tried to use tech. So the loyalists had to live as savages to survive, while the mutineers used stasis and life extension to become the modern-day illuminati.

The human survivors drove the developing native sentients (neanderthals) to extinction, which happened to be related to Homo Sapiens because both Earth and the true human homeworld were "seeded" by the same ancient alien race after their biospheres were decimated by a genocidal threat now on its way to Earth again.
>>
>>93019479

That's one hell of a plot.
>>
>>93015209
To be frank, it's not impossible that some mad Loroi would just alter humans to be able to knock-up Loroi women.
>>
>>93020967

That's about half the plot, but it's an immediate problem for the first book.

Periodic galactic xenocidal sweeps by this one space-based race are a Thing, and there's records on... at least 4, I think. Dead Guys#2 found evidence for Dead Guys #1 and made a good enough effort that Dead Guys #3 were positioned to make a really good go of it. It didn't work, but Dead Guys #4 actually managed to have a single world survive their sweep. They went on to build a massive interstellar Imperium where gigantic starships that spend centuries camouflaged as moons patrolling systems waiting for the next sweep is a thing. Only these are humans, and well, people. After untold millenia of this, one parked in Sol mutinied in an expression of galactic civilization endemic cabin fever and conspiracy theories.

The AI on a certain fundamental level Does Not Give A Shit (taken over by mutineers, acceptably disabled by Loyal Crew, good enough. Also the "good guys" don't meet its definition of Loyal Crew), but a few hundred thousand years later, one of it's recon probes in another star system goes off and it starts Giving A Shit, if only because *nobody* is answering it.

Seems like a waste of time when they already have males that have a whole life of fucking
>>
>>93021324

That make earth one heck of duty posting for Loroi. Chocolate as addictive as catnip and access to males in a single day than the most powerful Loroi has in a lifetime.
>>
>>93022158
Wait since when is Chocolate like catnip to them and how will that be found out in comic? Also would Loroi even like human males considering our lack of blue skin
>>
>>93022261
Do you like blue women?

Stands to reason that size more than skin color would be seen as offputting. That and being psychically unreadable.
>>
>>93022394
The difference between Loroi male height and Loroi female height is about the same as Human male and Human female.
>>
>>93022394
Yes I like blue women, but considering I post here that doesn't say much unless there is Galactic 4chan with Loroi posters. Yes the size and lack of telepathy do make sense in why it would be uncanny valley during sex

Author said so in a response a questiom about food both races could eat.

They have a gigantic population with a certain amount of oddballs that might be interested in all things alien, atleast that's author implied.

>>
Hey this thread made it past 400 posts
>>
>>93022001
It would be a nearly 180 year old science by then.

Don't know what the author wants to do, but some crazy bastards could be knocking up their cats by that time.

However honestly it seems like he wants to keep most things constant from the 21st century.
>>
>>93022721

There's been enough new pages recently, along with two right in this thread, that it hit the critical mass of new people and discussion needed for the thread. Most of the discussion is getting new readers up to speed with the lore given to use over the last nearly 16 years of this comic.

Welcome to hell enjoy your stay. There of been years were no comic has been posted . So the fact that basically six have been posted in two months is insane.
>>
>>93023653
I wha....this was one of the first damn webcomics, I'm just impressed. Man why does this comic feel like a breath of fresh air from every other webcomic.....I guess he didn't have time to introduce a lesbian couple yet....
>>
>>93023700
That's no reason to overuse ellipsis and get the number of periods wrong every time.
>>
>>93023700

It's the webcomic equivalent of the legendary sleeping king under the mountain, anon. Remember when all this was *fun*? Well, here's a time-traveling hero from the past.
>>
>>93022702
>So the human empire fell and the moon is tall that remains?
There are more ruins in systems far from Earth. The second book begins with Earthlings running off with the fixed-up moonship to look for help with the inevitable siege of Earth, while those at home try to keep everyone from flipping the fuck out while doing fortifying the hell out of Sol.
Turns out that interstellar teleporters mixed with a delayed-onset Life Eater Virus is a deadly combination.

Yeah it's... a bit cringe.

Thing is, back in '01 that had pretty above average art for a webcomic, and Outsider itself was head and shoulders above anything else out there... it still looks pretty good but good art isn't such an outlier anymore

The author's rational for this never made sense. He said they had a lot of women to inseminate so needed good equipment. However the good equipment needed for this scenario would be high sperm production (and perhaps high semen production to ensure the sperm survive), so they could service and impregnate the large female population efficiently. They'd probably be better at bukake than BBC (big blue cock).

Larger penis size would be of more benefit in scenarios where men were not so scarce and there was increased competition in finding a mate, giving endowled a competitive advantage.

Not exactly.

The Umiak and possibly the Historians also got into space without help. There are actually a lot of races in Outsider that aren't Soia creations or template races. They seem to have gotten to space unaided.

"It's easy to interpret Beryl's reaction as one of jealousy (and that misinterpretation is, of course, a deliberate storytelling device on my part), but that's not really what's going on. Beryl is being protective; Alex is her responsibility, and he has been mistreated by other Loroi in the recent past. He doesn't understand the significance of touch-telepathy to the Loroi, nor the other nuances of his situation (which will be explained shortly)."

Well the author just ruined our moment of jelly from Beryl.

>Well the author just ruined our moment of jelly from Beryl.

Seeing as the logical end-point of this impulse is the vision of a swollen-eyed, sleep deprived Beryl trying to keep from nodding off in a chair while clutching a whore-whacking stick muttering unkind and increasingly vaguely nonsensical things about the entire population of the Loroi race, I'm pretty good anon.

>finally got the Human off the ship and into a shuttle, thought she could grab just a few solons of sleep

He's pretty much a blue-skinned alien space-babe dropped into a all-male wartime naval vessel. The well-meaning painfully young-and-self-conscious-about-it bridge officer is chaperoning, nodded off for just a moment, then snapped awake to see that in less than 5 minutes an ace pilot was doing the "show me this Earth thing called kissing" thing. Less than three minutes.

The next genre-demanded part is where we jump cut to the guy sitting bleary-eyed against her cabin door clutching a golf-club in a white-knuckled grip, debating himself over if the chaplain can really be trusted to be celibate if the woman isn't technically human. And losing.
