WHY not warp onto it, take control of it and fly it to Necroworld? I think it's important they show the different kinds of Decepticon. You've got the disillusioned such as Drift, the ones who joined up because it was the only option, the ones who joined because it was the Right option but decided Megatron lost his way, and the fanatics who just wanna kill Autobots. Oh. And the regular guys who are too afraid to defect because if a group like the DJD doesn't kill them the Autobots probably won't treat them with any sort of decency and may even kill them anyway.

I think you're right. Some new guy, or even some existing character that's never been a leader before, you'd need to build them up before they could take over.

And there'd need to be an organised Decepticon faction worth taking over before leadership clashes meant anything.

Who else thinks they got Vigilem back with Windblade? Bringing in a memnosurgeon like Airachnid would be a good way to deal with it. I'm hoping she patches Starscream in and he convinces or tricks Vigilem to come with him. I don't know if I want them to trap Vigilem though, or if I want Starscream to have ANOTHER voice in his head.

It would honestly be an easy thing to do. Tried and true Starscream and Megatron method. One recruits and points out all the small flaws as to why what they're doing won't work. The other commands and has the bigger picture but fails because they disregard the smaller details. After having the experience of Megatron the lower ranks pay more attention to who's more suited as a leader and back the #2's power play.

It's part of a greater problem. The comic started in January 2012. We're not getting back to the Lost Light for at least another four months. It was ok when they were doing things that had a net positive for the rest of the universe while still working they're way towards the Knights. The Knights have become an afterthought though and by the time issue ten comes around it will be just about six years with not a step closer to to finding them. I take it back. A single step. Rodimus can subconsciously draw a map.

Hell, Primal winning in my view wouldn't necessarily be the strangest.

Megatron would be, most likely, given that he's supposed to fuck off to his sentencing. Even if there's an excuse for him to return to Cybertron (similar to Dark Cybertron), he seems like he's just return the Matrix and get back to work.

Deathsaurus would be very disruptive to Cybertron's status quo, especially if he shows up with his warworld fleet.

Ultra Magnus would be very weird, but not as much as those two.

Star Saber was flat-out evil in IDW, even if he believed himself to be doing good. Plus, you know, the whole "got killed by Rodimus" thing.

Arcee wouldn't be a very stable leader, even if she tries her best.

Thunderwing is an insane, almost mindless force of nature. How would he be a prime, besides maybe having someone pilot him? And that's even getting past the whole "Autobots probably locked him up somewhere" thing.

From what I vaguely remember of Primal and my experience of Robots in Disguise (2001), Armada, and IDW Optimuses... the only reason he was put in the primal slot is because they're probably going to discard most of his personality to avoid making him Optimus-lite.

It would have been awesome if Deathsaurus won Power of the Primes and was introduced as this new demonic force along with the Brest force (why did Japan go with that name) but IDW basically ruined most of the Victory original. Deathsauras seems like a soft woobie Decepticon as opposed to an evil Japanese feudal lord and Star Sabers crusaderbot shit is one of the deadly sins IDW has committed in general.

Sales were in normal decline. Attrition rate is the number of sales comics lose every month. Comics start at their highest number of copies sold and then drop each month.
To get a comic to increase in sales, you have to, traditionally, do an event tie in, get a load of variant covers, market a guest star on the cover, or do a relanch, soft or hard.
The profitability breaking point (#12) is when sales would have dropped to the point where the book no longer made money and would be cancelled.
IDW likes making money, so asked Scott if she had any ideas to relaunch the book by changing cast, story etc, so they could market it as a jumping on point and get another few months out of it.
She declined, so the book is being wrapped up before it becomes a loss on IDW's balance books.

So, sales have ended the book, it *is* being cancelled for low sales, but a planned wrap-up instigated by the writer. She isn't getting the book cancelled out from under her.

In IDW at least there's actually the theory that humanity is due to Cybertronian influence. We know Metrotitan is a recent arrival on earth. But long before that when the Primes fled Cybertron they left their own colonies for whatever reason. Micronus for instance made a whole new dimension. Before the Primes split, one of them threw the Enigma at Earth. Then Shockwave planted his Ore long before humanity existed, and inundated Earth with energon. There's been enough visits over millennia to have effected major development on human evolution in both mind and body by Cybertronian influence. Then there's that one Prime in Aligned who liked to create life and having Unicron be Earth in Aligned as well. They could easily adapt something from other material if they want to go that route.

Have humanity be transformers, but we get one transformation that takes about eighty years.
