The last Worldbuilding Wednesday was pretty good. It went over three different types of diseases.

The first one was Magi Teratomer, which apparently is a cancerous growth that emits it's own magical signal that causes the body's own signal to be corrupted. Kit is essentially trying to force the corrupted signal to change into something that sync's up with Renard's own signal.

The next was that apparently Flora has the rabies virus on it. It works essentially the same way as it does on Earth, but was used by the Reptile Kingdom as a form of biological warfare against the canine empire, with the Reptile Kingdom carrying it in their own bodies, as well as the bodies of the naturally lower temperature opossum conscripts, releasing it into population centers. The Canine empire made a vaccine for it though. If they didn't, the major empire on Flora would be the Reptile empire.

The next is Odeletta's curse, which exists almost exlusively in the area right outside the opossum tree of life. In short, if you approach the tree, the magic surrounding the area is so fucked up due to the damaged tree that your magic seeps from your body, eventually melting your flesh. If you're a powerful witch or something your heart explodes. Odeletta is also apparently some opossum folk hero.

I think their relationship chemistry is fine. I mean yeah, a lot of what they do isn't all kissy stuff, mostly because Morbi has said that this that kind of comic (but he did say that they're a very affectionate couple), but this chapter they've flirted in the car, they've kissed, when Kit isn't busy with her research she tries to spend time with both Poppy and Lily, etc. I'm not sure what you want from Morbi to make up for this lack of chemistry.

Hopefully the rest of the chapter satisfies you, as Poppy is basically gonna be Kit's only ally in this conflict between the Specter and the Veil.

Morbi managed to make a relationship feel drawn-out and rushed at the same time. Three arcs of buildup amounted to "hey, I know you're not all that into being an ambassador and shit, but Kit's got magic eyes and made you your heart meds, and can give your daughter a good life", and the actual relationship so far has been a condensed montage of googly eyes, erotic roleplay, mutual snark, and underlying doubt.

I actually like the relationship as it stands so far, since it's got both good and bad vibes going on, but it feels like the actual relationship will last half as long as the buildup to the fucker. I don't feel any investment in either half of the relationship, between the looming pressure of Major Plot Happenings and feeling of inevitable failure surrounding KitXPoppy.
