I'm pretty sure the issue is actually showing bleeding. So, when they had characters that were meant to drain blood, they replaced that with "plasma" in order to avoid showing people having their blood drained. "Blood" itself wasn't the problem.

Most of them are pretty great.
TAS is fucking wild and crazy and VERY high-energy, and it has tons of lazy and re-used animation,so it might not be for everyone.
Spectacular is the easiest to recommend because it has a great, more cohesive story and better animation, but.. it fucking looks weird. But it's really good with characters and relationships.
The MTV one is weird.
The 60's Spider-man is fucking hysterical because of how shit it is.
Ultimate isn't TERRIBLE, but it has really obnoxious humor and writing. It got just a bit better as it went on.
