Basic premise: Hanazuki is a moonflower, a guardian of sorts to the moons (planetoids really) of their galaxy. There is a powerful, all consuming force in this galaxy that is so far just called the "Big Bad," and it's a moonflower's job to protect their moon from it.

Problem is, no one tells them how to do that. They're born and given no instruction. Hanazuki gets lucky and figures it out as she goes, but other Moonflowers (of which we've seen 2 others so far, and a 3rd in a silly spoilery trailer) haven't been so lucky. While protecting her own moon and still learning herself, Hanazuki tries to help her fellow moonflowers do their jobs well.

The show is very cutesy and clearly has a target demographic, but a bit like horse it has elements that can entertain a wider audience. It has a bit of story, a little bit of action, some comedy, and a ton of sugary sweetness that'll give you a cavity.

You can watch all of the current, and any future episodes, on youtube. Just searching "Hanazuki" should have the playlist of episodes early in the results.

Actually looking through the episodes, it really seems to vary. Some scenes are very well animated, while others take some clear shortcuts. Some have a wonderful smoothness to them, while others are too snappy and jerky. Maybe it's just a matter of scheduling necessitating shortcuts here and there, or maybe it's just the effect of different animators for different scenes.

the original plan for scheduling was to release 9 eps every full moon starting in january. but when the february full moon came around there was nothing until the next full moon in march. this made me think the eps werent actually ready yet and they were then rushing to finish them. hopefully this weekly release works out for them

I think it'd be even better if they didn't do this.

the lavender one very rarely shows up but also the teal one is missing in that shot. still probably one of the most complete group pics. normally you only ever see 5 or 6 of them at once

Game comment: I just realized they removed the tree level ui from the game entirely. You just have to count the fruit trees around each treasure tree.

I just got an accessory for each Hemka, so I'm gonna try and get some better ones for some of them.

Is level 10 the maximum tree level? Or can it go further?

So far I'm level 8 and only lime and dark green trees are not level 10 yet

Does anything happen when you get all the trees to level 10?

some anon already mentioned trees no longer have level but the number of fruit bearing trees maxes out at 10 but you can keep adding treasures from little dreamer for hats

also we need new terms to discern little dreamer treasures from treasures grown on trees, and treasure trees with faceless treasure trees
