This show is keeping the action genre alive

That's pretty sad. I say this as a SU fan.
>>92898899
>SU
>action
>>92898899
>""""""""""action""""""""""
>>92898899
>action
I am the only one that remembers that SU was supposed to be a Slice-of-Life about a cheerful little fat boy and his three magic aunts.
>inb4
>B-but OP, it's a slice of life! Not an action!
>>92898996
FUCK I'M TOO LATE
>>92899018
Be quicker next time, faggot.
To bad it's not keeping the good action genre alive.
>>92898981
Watch The Loud House if you want a slice o life cartoon, about a cheerful little skinny boy and his ten cute sisters.
>>92898956
>>92898965
Anon what did they spend a good chunk of the last few episodes doing?
>>92898899
No it really isn't
Action is dead in American animation it died with SBT and YJ
>>92899286
You forgot about stuff like Star Vs The Forces of Evil and the new Voltron show. Those are action toons. Same with Steven
>>92899141
talking
crying
>>92899431
I was gonna respond exactly this but you beat me to it
>>92899378
I haven't watched Voltron so I forgot about it
However Star and SU aren't action shows, they are hybrid shows at best, they have more action than a slice of life comedy like say TLH but compare them to things like Megus XLR or SJ and it's obvious they aren't the same genre
>>92899378
Don't forget Star Wars Rebels.
And the Marvel stuff, even if it's shit.
YJ is also coming back.
>>92898899
Does anyone else here think Garnet looks better when you can see her eyes?
>>92898899
It has about as much action as a fat guy falling down the stairs.
Just because someone got physically hurt doesn't mean it's "action".
What caused the fall of action cartoons? Videogames? Anime?
>>92902312
Why would kids want to play pretend with action figures when video games literally bring their action figures to life at this point?
It's kind of like how you probably haven't cracked open a book in years but have watched several shows and movies in the past month alone.
>>92902312
change in target demographic to girls and thus a perception that girls don't want action cartoons. but form the popularity of stuff like Young Justice this is not the case.
>>92902533
That wasn't even the reason those shows were canned by CN, it was because of lack of toy sales.
>>92898956
seriously though S5 was off the hook for sure
>>92902312
Korra and Space Dandy were great though
>>92902312
There was a big push against violence and war being in cartoons following 9/11 in the states. Things like Gundam (I know it's not a cartoon) got pulled off the air and most cartoons moved away from having actual guns and such in them.
>>92902312
Pussification of the audience.
