>>
I got over this shit when I was 13. I seriously hope there are no anons on /co/ who are ashamed of liking cartoons.
>>
>>92896792
You'd be surprised how easy it is to shame a person into stop doing what they like to do. There are a lot of people on /v/ that are ashamed of playing video games in public. Like on their 3ds, even though it's the norm for people to play games on their phone. Makes no sense. So there are most def people on /co/ that are ashamed of liking something like cartoons and comics. I can't be shamed for anything by anyone anymore. I stopped caring about shit like that quite some time ago. I know who I am and to me that's all that matters. I don't care if I end up alone and hated. At least I'm being true to myself and not letting others control my life.
>>
>>92897067
I'm very influenced of what I like. I feel like that skit of key and peel about not having an opinion on anything. Also get dissatisfied with things when said thing us mocked. Like I used to like nerdwriter's video essays until thisguyedits made a parody of it. Now I think all video essays are just reading too much into films. Would that apophia or sychroncity I still haven't really decided on the what word would best describe it
>>
>>92897067
That's the spirit. I decided long ago that I should be more selfish in some matters, mainly in the matters that contribute to my happiness. I like sharing and helping people out, but I do not let anyone's opinion on me keep me from doing what I enjoy.

OP, that moron, how I hate him and yet... ...I love him. So mysterious, so swab, such as a sustainably shaped-little head. You'll ridicule me but deep down, you know how I really feel. It's love, love, love!
>>
Triangle head. Crowbar head. Rake Head. Two football heads. What I hope is not a cylinder head but it wouldn't surprise me. When I was a kid I never understood how they could bully Arnold, let alone call him football head as an insult.
>>
>>92896792
I was picked on and bullied because I liked watching the powerpuff girls back in highschool. It took me till college to realize people were faggots and I could do whatever I want

W-w-well at least I'm not black, a manlet, a hillbilly inexplicably living in the inner city, a walking coronary waiting to happen, a lesbian, or a sex offender!
>>
>>92897329
I mean, when you're a kid and see people shit on something you like you lash out.

Of course when I hit highschool I stopped caring, as it doesn't matter.

Back in my school Powerpuff Girls was amazingly popular. I remember we got together in the recess, chose the character we wanted to play and then we beat the living shit out of each other.
>>
>>92897474
Well, being a nerdy Asian who a small town full of jocks were football was super popular, I was fucked from the beginning. My friends were super shitty to me and made a point to also make fun of me too. Honestly, if I wasn't so afraid of being alone back then, I would have ditched those niggers in a heart beat

In my language we have an old saying that basically translates to "better to be alone than badly accompanied". I hope that now as an adult you can apply it in your life, anon.
>>
>>92897633
Oh no worries. I drop people in an instant these days.
>>
>>92897194
I'm used to be very easily influenced as well but found out that majority of people just try to control you and form you into what they think you should be. After being through multiple near-suicide depressions I found out that I need to do stuff for me. Do stuff I wanna do. I found out that being myself brought me much more happiness than the sorrow of the feeling like you're never enough in the face of others (pretty much every single day in school). I'm quite self-critical when it comes to my created works but I'm following my dreams while most people I know would tell me to give them up.

>>92897198
I'm exactly the same way. I love helping people. Most of all I love to entertain people (I'm trying to making into my career) but I'm not having others control what I like and don't like.
>>
>>92898505
>Most of all I love to entertain people
Same. People tend to see me as a funny guy. Back in middle and high school, whenever I had to do oral presentations I'd give them a comedic spin to keep the audience interested. For History class we had to discuss a 19th century figure and I chose Rasputin because of how many dick jokes I'd be able to slip in. I don't know if I'd be able to make a career out of it though.

>whenever I had to do oral presentations I'd give them a comedic spin to keep the audience interested.

I did the same. I usually based the presentations on something I'd seen in cartoons. Cartoons where (and still are) a massive part of my life and I was often seen as a walking cartoon character.

>For History class we had to discuss a 19th century figure and I chose Rasputin because of how many dick jokes I'd be able to slip in.

Fucking nice!

I feel you, anon, but rather than becoming completely discouraged on what I like to do I kind of appreciate when someone else points out the flaws in the stuff I like.
I have a very obsessive personality and tend to go full fanboy when something catches my eyes. But when someone else bashes it, be it its honest opinion or just to be mean, I get a grip of myself and look at the work more carefully, sometimes I end up liking it less, but in the end I learned to accept things for what they were and to try and enjoy everything that I liked about it despite the flaws I myself acknowledge.
I mean otherwise I would've given up on the MCU long ago.
>>
>>92899435
Yeah, being open-minded is important. Seems to be a skill that's slowly being forgotten in favor of the exact opposite.
>>
>>92897067
I've never seen anyone bother another or myself for playing Gameboys and the like in public, not even during my school years.
>>
>>92900082
I know, right! That doesn't happen. But some people are so afraid of what that random person that they're never going to meet again is going to think about them. Like that somehow matters. But they don't realize that the majority of people you meet out and about don't give a fuck about who you are, what you like or what you do unless you're causing a disturbance. People just want to feel like they are victims because it makes them feel special. It boggles my mind that people on the gaming section of a giant forum are ashamed of having gaming as a hobby. Like it's equivalent to skinning cats or something. People on /co/ doesn't seem to have the same problem though which makes me very relieved and happy.

I would. But there would be an episode of him hiding and begging Arnold to help him out.
I would beat the shit out of Arnold as well.

I lost my cartoons when my beta ass was kicked out at age 18. Can you fathom that? No TV. No internet? No chicken tendies? Everything, suddenly gone in a matter of hours. Then there's the withdrawal. Wondering what your missing. If you're even a thought to your online friends. Not knowing how your favorite show is moving along. Those first few months were a struggle. How eye opening it is when you realize your media addiction. Sure, there was the internet cafe, but it not the same. The cost, time limits, can't even jerk to porn. Like going to a buffet just to look at the food. Survival mode kicks in.

Got a shitty fast food job, couch surfed, kicked back out in the street every other month, spent time in a shelter with a curfew, eventually got a job hauling debri, treated like shit for fucking years...

I'm a contractor now. Got a nice home. I earned this. So forgive me if I want to enjoy my cartoons.

Appreciate your cartoons.
