I wasn't a fan of his edgy comments, but I realized that he wasn't that bad of a guy with his Brain Dump series. Hearing that he's gonna be homeless just kills me. No amount of pony.mov videos could justify such a horrible thing.

Why are people feeling bad for him? There were enough people out there to show him that this was clearly not the kind of life style you could get money from but he tried it anyway. And he PROBABLY tried it anyway because his MLP videos took off and thought it'd be easier to do that than looking for work, but as a result, now he's lost both.

It's like people act like he's forced into YouTubing. As if his only choices are animations or LPs. How about actually applying a demo reel to a small animation studio to do some freelance for?

It's like if a street artist who did free caricatures for anyone who walked by. Yeah, it was nice that it was free, but no shit you're not going to make money off of that. Not like he's some 40-year old man who lost his job and only has a limited set of skills and kids to take care of. Max being "homeless" is probably really just him crashing at a friend or family member's house for months.

He's a semi-popular good artist with a lot of program and animation knowledge and has had many successful viral videos. He'll probably bounce back like fucking that if he actually applied himself to some commercial animation studios.

This is literally why so many Baby Boomer Dads consistently told their kids who wanted to be actors, comedians, musicians, entertainers of any kind to have a secondary skill in case they couldn't make it. Seems that mentality has all but gone now with modern parents who encourage their kids to stay on one path and one path only until they make it. Even if it means putting themselves in debt early on because they think going to CalArts or something means "they'll make it", even though a large percentage of those people never get jobs in the industry.
