Why would Fox give up movie rights that make them a huge profit? Deadpool and Logan were hugely successful, and they care more about the hundreds of millions of dollars they can make than whether or not Disney signs off on fighting game characters.

Imagine you own a major studio and don't give a fuck about comic books. Your job is to make money, and there are literally billions of dollars to be made in superhero films. And, as luck would have it, you happen to hold the rights to one of the oldest, most-loved (apparently) franchises out there... all you have to do is make a movie out of it every ten years and you retain the rights. You don't even have to release the damn thing, just drop some change and make the film. Didn't go over too well? Doesn't matter, just try again in 10 years. Hell, the Tim Story one turned enough of a profit for a sequel.

Is actually prefer the X-men to stay separate. They have such an extensive character roster they can support their own univers.
I think we should petition Fox to reboot the x-men universe. Do some clairmont, add some x-force, don't forget new mutants, do a morrison run, no more mutants leading to the messiah saga, and finally schism. They have enough content to sustain them for decades.

Believe it or not, petitions no matter their size make their way to execs in the Sony Leaks there was a email of some Vietnamese Spidey fan begging them to return Spidey to Marvel linking to a small petition he had made I have no clue how he got a hold of Amy Pascal's email but it did prompt Pascal to schedule a meeting about the future of Spider-man.

X-men should stay with Fox in their own universe.
If the MCU had the X-Men they would only get 3 movies and use the same formula as every other MCU movie. At least with Fox we're getting different flavors. Deadpool being a raunchy comedy, Logan being a western, New Mutants being a horror, This is great, the MCU will never do anything like that.
Fantastic 4 on the other hand, I do think should still be held onto by Fox but as a bargaining chip when MCU wants to use a character or if Fox wants to more control over the TV series
