Pretty much it needed either a fee more minutes each episode to breathe or an extended finale.

I got thrills, laughs, and sweetness out of it. A conclusion, too, though not a great one.

I mean sure, it wasn't everything I hoped, but everyone had extremely high expectations so there was no way it would deliver. But it was still an ending, and any sort of actual ending is far better than years of nothing.

A number of episodes have some degree of pacing issues, and you CAN make things work in the finale with a very bare number of minutes. The finale is the most rushed bit the whole season, so focusing on that would produce a good result, too.

I liked it a lot. It's one of my favorite series, combined with the first four seasons of course. It had flaws, I had moments that left me disappointed or yearning for a better execution but despite that, I still think it's great.
I don't understand /co/'s mentality that it has to be either 10/10 or complete shit.

10 Episodes was the biggest problem with the season. Take the story we got and give it 12-13 episodes to breathe (and give additional details/moments with certain characters like The Priestess and The Scotsman) instead of having the end of half of the season's episodes feel too fast and it'd make a world of difference.

I liked it a lot, but there were so many minor issues that it brought the season down bit by bit. 8/10 overall, but without Episodes 1-3 being so fucking fantastic, it wouldn't be that high.

I've come to peace with the ending. Jack did what he set out to do from episode 1. And Ashi had to die if the audience was truly going to believe that Aku is gone.

Parts could've been handled better like Ashi disappearing almost instantly after saying why or Ashi and Jack could've spoken a bit more. But overall it's a good ending.

I'm sorry, but "heteronormative" (which I'd like to point out my computer is currently warning me isn't a word) relationships are the most common. They are the norm. People tend to write what they know and/or can relate to. Take Rebecca Sugar and Steven Universe as an example. Sugar was(is?) bisexual, and has been writing a show with gay, bi, and straight characters. Why? I imagine because she can relate or being bi herself, that's what she wanted to see on TV. I respect Sugar because rather than bitch about what she wasn't seeing represented in TV and trying to shove "diversity" into everybody's shit no matter the cost, she made something that had what she wanted to see in it.

More on topic, I thought season 5 was fucking amazing. I was glued to the TV every minute of every episode. It looked gorgeous and I was really into the story. Greg as Aku didn't outdo Mako but he made a damn fine stand-in. That said, the ending left a bad taste in my mouth. On top of being rushed AF it seemed to actively go against what the rest of the season was building towards. You can't lead audiences one way only to in the last 5 min of the series reverse direction and expect everybody to be content with it.

I liked TMNT 2012 better than the 1980s TMNT. I've heard anons claim it's not as good as the 2000s TMNT though.
Looney Tunes Show does a different thing than normal Looney Tunes, but it was still fun enough.
Lion Guard's better than I was expecting.

Samurai Jack's season 5 could've easily been better than all of those if they had kept up the same quality as the first few episodes had, though. I wish they had been able to pull it off.
