Its pretty late in the season, Rose is basically the meekest kid in school so she seems so far out of character as the villain its silly, it feels like she was turned only cause they had to get through the class list, also not a fair of her Akumatized character design, they heavily lean on mind control powers and Chloe as the main cause of the conflict. And there is a subplot about Tikki being sick, which while not bad on its own, basically leads to Marinette having to running around without powers most of the episode, oh and there is some dumb shit about a foreign prince or whatever idk

The Great Divide was made a whole lot worse if you were around when it was Nick's favorite episode to run into the ground. AtLA doesn't have a whole lot of very episodic episodes that play well all on their own, but for some reason they had to pick that one to rerun over and over and it just got worse at every viewing when you knew about all those other great episodes of the show that they never reaired.

At least with his Sinnoh League match, he was facing off against legendaries. As bullshit as it was, because it showed that the writers had to toss a random guy with Legendaries out of the blue at him to get him to lose, at least there was a reason.

His Kalos League loss? That was bullshit. You build up his rivalry with Alain by having them previously battle two different times with Ash losing both times, but almost winning the second time, and then build up the idea of him winning in their third encounter, only to have it not happen because status quo.

You have Goodra, who was one of Ash's strongest Kalos Pokemon, return to his team only to job super hard to a Bisharp.

Then you have Greninja, Ash's strongest Kalos Pokemon with ancient prophesy transformation power, losing to a goddamn Charizard via a single Blast Burn.

The Kalos League ending was just all kinds of fucked up, and it felt as if the writers were gunning for Ash winning, but got told from higher ups to not have him win.

Then you have the bullshit that was the Unova League, Cameron, his Plot Armor Riolu/Lucario, and the Pokemon that no idiot of his caliber should even have any place owning.

Ash's Sinnoh match and loss are leagues better than what came after it.

Things sort of blow up with the bee, Finn gets literally raped by Lumpy Space Princess, some shit happens with the bee and his flower stump and his arm grows back, and the Bee leaves him forever.

It also was an opportunity for the show to slow down and show what he was fighting so hard for. Most other instances- even when accompanied by visuals- just tell but don't do as much to show us Jack's strong feelings and connections to his distant childhood in his homeland. It's usually just "muh past" "muh famly" "muh people" "muh honor," but that one slow episode of very specific very intimate memories shows Jack's personal ideas of "home" and what he so badly wants to return to from a personal standpoint, putting all of the duty and chivalry aside for a minute.

I'd say that Animan was actually the laziest/worst episode. The guy becomes an akuma because some teenager insults a panther at the zoo (not making that up). He is also a random civilian with no characterization instead of a classmate. The whole "Nino has a crush on Marinette" B-plot comes out of nowhere and is resolved in the laziest way (just pair him up with Alya and call it a day). The villain himself is boring (he can turn into animals, which is pretty weak tea compared to most other akuma) and only becomes somewhat interesting at the end (he turns into a T. Rex which is, in fact, an animal). The whole episode is spent trying to get Kim away from the villain instead of just fighting the underpowered foe. It ends up being really boring. Nothing ever really feels like it is at stake, the only thing that really happens is we learn that Chat Noir does have a number of secondary "cat powers" such as an advanced sense of smell and hearing. The whole thing just felt like complete filler even by the hyper-episodic standards of the series. I know you can skip most episodes in Season 1 but this one is especially easy to ignore and not miss anything.

The Titans and Starfire encounter an alien guy fellow superhero who is racist against Starfire and calls her what she and he both know to be a slur, but the other Titans don't catch on for a while so Star eventually has to explain it to Cyborg. And since by now the viewer understands that it's the "very special racism episode," and from the way the scene is set up with its pauses and timing and whatnot, it really feels like Cyborg is about to say he sympathizes because he's black, since that seems to be the real world issue it feels like they're building an allegory for. But then, for a lot of viewers, the scene suddenly becomes hilarious when he unexpectedly instead says that he sympathizes because he's part robot, which I don't think is something that's ever before or since been portrayed as something people in this universe have much prejudice against, so it comes completely out of left field, especially considering you expect him to mention something about being black. Only the scene is played completely straight, which makes it even funnier.

It was a really forced setup. The sitcom aspect would've been way funnier had it been Pearl pretending to be Greg's wife and Steven's Mom or if it had all the Gems pretending to be his entire family. Amethyst would be his cousin, Pearl his mom, Garnet his great-aunt-twice-removed or something. They could've all been extremely awkward trying to impersonate a normal human family.

Instead, it was just stupid to think that a giant monster is somehow a more believable fake Mom than just bringing one person with character flaws.

The worst episode of SU was House Guest. It was a shitty trope, was completely out of character for Greg, and came off the hype from Mirror Gem / Ocean Gem, where things first began to be happening. A cool-down after that would be fine (Full Disclosure wasn't great, but it was fine), but this hackneyed mess explicitly pulled back the character developments from the arc. It insulted our intelligence AND our interest.

I feel like this is the one classic Spongebob episode everyone dislikes.
Classic Spongebob has managed to hold itself extremely well as far as most comedies (not just animated) go, and it had pretty damn consistent quality. Every episode is usually remembered for something, a joke or character or several.

But this. This is the one single episode that, to this day, I have not found a single person who likes it.
It's the one everyone just groans in frustration at.
And it's technically made even worse by the fact that Patrick's characterization in later seasons became like the one in this episode.

If anything this episode was the prelude of what the show would eventually become.

Seeing other episodes ITT about characters acting like assholes and getting away with it, I can understand the dislike for this ep. I can also unfortunately see this as the start of Patrick's flanderization in the later seasons, as the other anon mentioned.

That said, I thought the episode was funny and had a good moral/premise to it. The whole point was that Spongebob shouldn't have lowered himself for Patrick's sake. And, as it turns out, Patrick's family, as well as Janet and Marty, are all retards in the end anyway.

I'm sure there's worse episodes, probably stuff from season 3, especially towards the end.
