So anyone here familiar with academics works of comics? After searching a bit I picked up "Critical approaches to comics" which is collection of short form analysation essays. I would recommend the book as an introduction to comics analyzing but at the same time I'm looking for something more advanced. If you guys know of anything recommend me.

I listen to a few podcasts, my fave is probably the (now defunct) Trash Twins one. That very much varied in what it was about but some of their focused ones, like the Sin City one, have a good discussion of the material. Not sure I could go so far as to call it academic though: it's definitely not usually presented like that.
