Should we separate OK Simpsons (middle teen seasons) from Zombie

Don't agree since Season 15 in particular had at least 5 horrible episodes in it, including Catch Em If You Can, which was one of those throw-the-remote-at-the-TV moments.

It's all shit after 9, mang.

I literally don't even think about post-9 simpsons whenever someone references it, unless they're directly referencing a shitty new episode.

I remember seeing I Am A Clown when it first aired and it wasn't bad, although I certainly wouldn't put it in the company of a Season 2 episode.

I like the later seasons but they're definitely not the same Simpsons we saw in season 1-9. That's why I refer to the later seasons as 'Zombie Simpsons'.

Seasons 14 and 15 are better than the second half of the Scully run, but they're still very far from classic Simpsons. Sometimes, the episodes manage to follow a solid plot structure and manage a feelsy, pull-at-your-heartstring moment or two, but the usual aspects of Zombie Simpsons are still present such as jokes that fall flat, mediocre to bad voice acting, spotty characterizations, and ineffective satire.

The best episodes in 13-15 are the ones with a particularly strong focus on story, such as The Way We Weren't and Jaws Wired Shut. These episodes mostly avoid the miscellaneous bullshit that brings down mediocre stuff like Barting Over and Brawl in the Family, thus giving way more coherent narratives and even slightly more effective humor. The rest of these seasons are pretty much just as weak as anything from the period that followed, although true bombs like Co-Dependent's Day are relatively infrequent.

I wouldn't go as far out to classify Seasons 13-15 as Zombie Simpsons like they do at Dead Homer Society, but they're still far behind the greatness of the show's first nine seasons.

seasons 11 and 12 suck but they're not nearly as bad as seasons 13 and 16

I have some episodes I like from this period.

I feel it's around the movie it's just not entertaining to me.
