While I'm sort of pleased to see her back in her original design I did find it odd Harley makes a point to go on about being done with capes and masks, but then immediately dons her old costume for a job that shouldn't really require it. How do you not see the connections between JL: War, Throne of Atlantis, and JL Dark? They all use the exact same league make up mostly and even lampshade it when there are changes made between movies.

I think it was cute when I watched B:TAS, I tried reading Bombshells but it was shit so I just lost interest eventually. I know people often say the ship doesn't make sense because they "soften" each other up too much but I think it would be cool to have Ivy and Harly as just a pair of lesbian assholes that steal and kill people for fun like a Bonnie and Clyde type pair.

Companies don't want to invest in costly animation processes, hence why most shovelware movies are cartoons are now CG, it's cjeaper. This has kind of always been a thing, all of the DCAU cartoons had a simplified artstyle after Batman TAS.
