1) She was shattered by someone who the eye-witnesses identified as Rose Quartz which means at the very least she should have been from Pink's Court for a disguise to be effective.

2) Pink wasn't expecting a fight, she was assassinated in plain sight by "Rose" apparently being able to appear right in front of her, after leaving her palanquin.

3) Rose and the CGs admit to the crime, taking the credit for it.

4) Yellow Diamond knows something. Whether she has anything to do with the crime is unclear but she either knows something is up and ignores it or is responsible for the cover-up.

Honestly, it's all pointing to pearl. Or at least A pearl. We know our pearl is an off color; she doesn't match pink's color scheme, rose's, or anyone elses. While she does have a pink diamond crest on her space suit, she could've sworn different allegiance to avoid people from spotting her immediately. She has super strength, and the capacity for fighting, of which no other pearl we've seen has demonstrated. She's also shown to have the ability to create hologram that have mass and force. Honestly, Pearl is kinda bullshit, she's even shown the ability to control minor amounts of sand. This kind of pearl doesn't seem to be a run of the mill pearl, and seems more like a bodyguard, probably for a high ranking official. We haven't even seen a pearl attached to any of the high ranking Agates or Sapphires, but we do know there's one with the off color gems.

I kinda meandered there, point is, Pearl seems to be the primary suspect. She seems to have seen a lot of abuse considering all her reaffirmations, and her constant worry about not being strong enough. Maybe she was a Pearl made for the gladiatorial pits?

Rose Quartz's power manifested from her feelings of sadness when others would die/get hurt. Because she gets sad and cares about others in a genuine way, she has that power forever, and those tears will always heal others.

Most gems barely go through any emotional rigamarole, and most gems don't grow at all, and stay the same for their whole life after being made, so discovering their abilities never happens. Rose Quartz just happened to be able to heal others, but because she discovered the ability, she unlocked it.
