In the long run, Eustace is pretty much just a product of his shitty family. How they treated him, and how they never really tried to encourage him. Always in the shadow of his older brother, and never finding anything he was actually good at. If anything, he just kind of gave up and accepted the idea that he wasn't any good, yet still wished he could be better and have more in life.

Muriel is his only shining light, and even then he has to share her with a dog that gets more attention than he does.

Honestly? Eustace is kinda similar in ways to Helga.

Is it possible we could get an AS series for Dilworth after the success of Samurai Jack on AS? People love Courage and it ran for plenty of seasons around the same time period as SJ. Imagine Courage matured up for AS.

Dilworth would probably use more guns. In the original pilot Eutace was supposed to shoot Courage point blank with a shotgun before they here forced to change it for the mask we all know now.
He'd get more creative with the violence and he'd probably have some more questionable monsters designs that exploited gore and sexuality.

During the pilot there's a moment when Eustace uses the mask for scare Courage away. Originally, it was meant to be a shotgun. It's been a while since I've read that so I might be wrong, but that's what I remember.

Also, I think you're underestimating Dilworth's creativity here. He wouldn't just put some blood and call it a day; his designs would be as batshit insane as they've always been except now he'd be able to integrate a little bit of edge.

Yes. What I meant by my previous point is that Dilworth had some edgier ideas he couldn't put out in the original version and that once he had more freedom he'd be able to integrate them into the cartoon. The slapstick would stick, but at the same time it'd be more gory and intense. Enough for the characters to walk away from it whenever it's funny, but it would be more grotesque.

I disagree. I don't think I've ever seen anyone doing that kind of slapstick before; whenever blood is integrated into cartoon violence it's taken seriously instead of making it cartoony. I'd like to see someone trying it out and Dilworth seems like the right guy for the job.

The Puppet one. The music when Courage enters the room is horrifying, the fact that those people never get saved is doubly horrifying, and the fact that everyone BUT Courage at the end is reduced to a puppet for eternity to the point where Courage has to move their strings around just so he isn't alone is triply horrifying.

I hope CN lets Dillworth work on the Courage reboot. He was in the middle of development but they shelved the project. I want to know how Eustace and Muriel met. When is CN going to listen to the fans and make this and Galactic KND?
