Dude is responsible for separating children from their parents, and then turning those parents into killer robots--who fight each other-- before he sends them out to go capture the kids he orphaned in the first place. And the birds involved obviously have sentience even before Eggman shoved them into power armors and even if they weren't animal cruelty can go a long way into unethical behavior.

This is the entirety of Gamma's storyline in Sonic Adventure alone. In the earlier Genesis games, he's basically a colonial force invading foreign soil and dealing massive damage to the environment so he can play Simcity for real, but with Robots. Everything he does serves no greater good or purpose but for his own selfish ends.

In Sonic SatAM "Robotnik" deposed a monarchy and established a robotic pollution city that serves no purpose but to just exist, destroys the ecosystem and forces sentient beings into robotic slavery This is more or less a mass-mind controlling effect, and again, there is no point to ANY of this other than he's a dick who knows how to build robots. I mean, seriously, even if there's a human nation someplace else and he's plundering resources for money, he's doing so at the cost of others' very homeland.

He's wrong in the context of the mythology he lives in.

He's a celestial kami, and kami are not truly divine in the western sense. Even celestials are not actually any more holy than the spirits of rocks and mud; only the goddess Amaterasu and her father Izanagi are being actually above others, while mortals are just weak spiritual beings with strong physical bodies which sets us aside from the rest of spiritual entities.

He functionally may as well be a water spirit who's pissy about supposed impurity of the land, or a spirit of the mountain hating the wind because it lasts less than him.

His hatred of the transitory is misplaced, because assuming you aren't sinful you remain in the wheel of creation as a spiritual being no matter what, and can be promoted. Furthermore while the kami are timeless, they are not immune to death and must be rejudged when killed; while Kubo's mother and father no doubt ascended to the celestial plane, his aunts may have been judged and found wanted which could mean being sentenced to serve in the Yomi (like hell but instead of eternity just with a really short prison sentence, pic related) or as mortal beings until they learn to not be shit by the time of their next deaths and become celestial again.

As you see in the end, he's not even really that different from being a mortal. Most of his power just came from his office rather than something actually intrinsic to who he is.

Him becoming a monster wasn't played like "this is my final form," it was an angry grandfather humoring his naive grandson and showing him how childish he was. It was him going "You want a monster? Fine, you get your monster, and I'll kick your little ungrateful ass with it."

I loved the Moon King because he really did feel like a grandfather stuck in his ways trying to do what he felt was best for his grandson.

Hey, not an underage, also haven posted yet, but just to be clear, Griffith did do several things wrong. Being able to explain something is much different than justifying it. Griffith preformed the ultimate sin, betrayal, and all that devoted themselves to him were punished for their unconditional love for him. He put his ambition in front of his fellow man, and let all who called him friend perish for his goals. Even on a more personal level, the ravishing of Casca was a pointlessly cruel act just to spite his last friend, Guts, and to punish them both for...? The fact is though his actions were not the worst that could have been. the Civil War probably would have happened, and probably would have been going on during the Vong Invasion, which would have meant the death of everything. i read all the books, so this is what I remember.

The Force didn't work on them, in that you couldn't read them, influence them, feel them, and directly effect them. Which took out 80% of what Jedi could do to them. Even a straight up force blast was going to be mostly ineffective on them.

That being said, Palps "foresaw" their coming as a prophecy. In this area, their "force nullifying" didn't have an effect, because he could See them attacking the galaxy, and see the effects of what they were doing, regardless of if he could see them in all their details.
