Couldn't quite settle on a theme so I just decided to go with comics that I consider a cut above the rest. I'm going to limit myself to single issues or mini series (story is 4 issues or less). Starting with the mini Taskmaster, written by Fred Van-Lent and illustrated by Jefte Palo.

Shit, meant to be called part 1. I guess I can make Pt. 1 tomorrow and Pt. 3 on Thursday.
Love the Beach Boys.
I need to read more comics featuring AIM
>EV.
>RY
>ONE.
Oh.
=D
Bitchin Taskmaster quote.
Not what I was expecting.
Such an awesome costume.
There are so many things that are right with this page. The only thing is that I wish I knew what he took from Spider-Man. It wouldn't really make sense to take his acrobatics because his physiology is so drastically different he'd probably kill himself trying to pull it off. Also one of the reasons Taskmaster won't copy Moon Knight. It's not that he can't, he just realizes that an aspect of Moon Knight's overall fighting style is to bulldoze his way through his enemies in the most direct way possible and willingly accept punishment if it means closing the distances just a little bit faster.
>Not you.
>Too weird.
Lol
I know I certainly wasn't.
These next couple of pages are some of my favorite. You can tell Van Lente had fun with his original creations and I would have never guessed they were just created for this series.
Don't remember this series. Thanks OP
Off to a great start.

i've never even heard of half these fucking nobodies
who the fuck are these lightning fags?
I'd watch a Taskmaster movie. No lie.
>>92840036
A couple of them were created for this series. Their bio was included at the end of issue 1.
I really really like the design of these henchman. Basic, non-discriminatory, and literally anyone could be behind the mask.
>>92839235
Who's that between Shang-Chi and Hawkguy
>>92840157
I was about to say Batroc but I truly have no idea.
ON TO ISSUE 3!!!
>>92840157
Black Knight.
>>92840157
That's Swordsman
>>92841253
I hate to break it to you OP, but I didn't like this story nor its "I totally don't remember my past because my muscle memory literally replaces my real memory" idea was dumb and totally not necessary for Taskmaster. Nor his wifebeing his handler his while life and him being SHIELD in the first place.
>>92841574
Absolutely understand. Many don't like this iteration of the character (I really liked the Udon version to be honest),I do enjoy how his memory issues was later incorporated into Avengers Academy with his daughter Finesse and I thought that was pretty well done.
DUN DUN DUN!!!!!!!!!!

Not quite sure what to post meow. Stay tuned.
>>92842192
i was being facetious
I decided to go with something non cape related, Steve Niles and Ben Templesmith's 30 Days of Night.
I wish Taskmaster got more writing, a mini by Remender or Duggan would have been nice.
>>92842566
Don't tease me, bro.

He'll be fine....
>>92843820
My man.
This ending is a true gut punch.
Going to end this thread with a Thunderbolts two parter. Jeff Parker's Thunderbolts #152

So Marvel Presents: Injustice's Superman vs Godzilla's Monster Island.
>>92844417
Sign me up.
I miss Parker's Thunderbolts series.
>>92844190
Songbird a cute.
>>92838778
Let's be real here: Taskmaster is the only mutant worth reading.
>>92839058
That's incredibly respectful for a Hydra agent.
>>92839410
>Vladimir Korda
Isn't that the guy Captain America killed and then had a nervous breakdown over?
>>92844676
What a cruelly ironic name.
>>92844788
Oh Ghost, always so charming.
Poor Juggernaut.
>>92845081
>that slow rise while wannabe superman thinks he is going to win
Glorious
>Is everyone intact? Did Hyperion ever wake up?
>No. He did not.
=O
Wouldn't have expected the Thunderbolts nanochain to be that effective. He looked like he went rounds with the Hulk In all honesty, this guy's death was kinda horrifying. He had his nervous system bugged out with Argonaite (the substance that acts as literal poison to him) and then has Man Thing acid touch him to death while he's screaming for his life. Fuck that noise.
And that's all folks! I'll see you guys tomorrow!
>>92845176
He went up against moonstone and juggernaut, and ghost and was a turncoat. He got what was coming.
>>92845234
Not saying he didn't deserve it. It would have just suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuucked
thanks, op
>>92845266
What's a little murder between friends.
Parkerbolts is still best bolts.
>>92839103
Needed some inspiration for the gym.
It was legs' day today. Thx taskie!
>>92839391
Calvin Burlingame? Charcoal is still around?
>>92840070
I'm thinking of Statham's Crank flicks. Neveldine/Taylor were the directors.
Luc Besson is another option.
>>92845130
Based Ghost
>mfw deadpool vs the punisher is kinda a sequel to this task mini
>and is fucking great
thanks OP
