Nope. Despite the weekly "Gwenpool is cancelled!" threads, it's still going. There was an issue solicited for August, and nothing about the solicit indicates that it's a final issue. It's also issue 19 though, so maybe they're waiting for issue 20 to get an extra trade out of it. We'll see.

Either way, it's continuing until at least September.

That's how most Image Comics do it. 6 issues a year. 5-6 issues get released, then it goes on hiatus for 5-6 months with a trade of those 5-6 issues getting released in the interim so that trade waiters can read the trade then jump into the ongoing once the hiatus ends.

Of course not. The reason Image Comics do this is because they're:

>all creator-owned, so most Image comics are at least partially owned by the Artist so the writer can't just swap them out without having to buy their share of the rights from them
I mean, if Hickman could have East of West come out monthly, I'm sure he would. But it's co-owned by Dragotta so he has to wait for Dragotta to finish the issues on his own time.

This. Nobody who buys big two really cares what the creative team is. They'll buy Spider-man every month or every week or however many Spider-man books are coming out now, and if the comic sucks, so what? They'll just go online and complain about it and then buy the next issue same as always.
