The most probable outcome, going by the show overral theme, how Genndy handles time travel on previous works, how most time travels work on cartoon and comics, and going by the rigic morality system of the show, and the finale with the beautiful landscae full of trees is that:

Aku fundamentally affected Earth for hundreds, maybe thousands of years. Because this would have at least somewhat mitigated the hopeless despair of Jack completely erasing the future and all the people he knew. The Scotsman, being the most recurring character from the future, is most suited to be the meta-voice of the people of the future, so him accepting and embracing Jack's decision to go back becomes approval from the future as a whole.

It wouldn't have fixed everything with the finale, and people would definitely still bitch about his going back to the past, but at least it wouldn't have been AS frustrating.
