Just be forewarned that a lot of his playstyle comes from 50/50s. So often whether you win or lose can come down to a coin flip because the enemy guessed right or wrong this time. He was initially based around the idea of a carnival acrobat/contortionist. So I would start from there.

Have him be extremely grab/throw-based and give him a longer window of time to break out of grabs/throws than any other character. All his grabs would also work in the air.

Otherwise give him his equipment to utilize to make his move-set somewhat more entertaining.

His trait would make him immune to corner traps, grant 2 hits of armor, and immune to throws/grabs but only last a very short amount of time and have a long cooldown.

What do you think the odds are we will get a Red Lantern Guy Gardner premier skin for Atrocitus?

The only real concern in my mind would be the hitbox, but even then Guy Gardner was always drawn as somewhat bulkier when he was a Red Lantern. I think they could get away with it if they wanted too. After all, Mr. Freeze looks noticeably skinnier than Captain Cold in this game.

No but it was his "iconic" weapon after Dick started using Escrima Sticks, he kept using it after he graduated to Red Robin, Damian uses one occasionally but not regularly enough with his edge factor usually leading him back to the sword and Jason is heavy tied to guns now.

I started playing him because I love his animations. Turns out he is all about resetting your enemy.
You use meter to continue the combo, so it's for example:

jump in 2 -> 22 throw MB (continues the combo) -> back 2, close leap (down forward 1 back) with a 2 -> back 1 throw meter burn -> back 3 ...

I mean the part you need to master is the back 2 close leap 2, I can't do it for shit but in theory it lets you pummel the enemy as much as your meter allows you since you have 3 combo enhancing meter burns (22 throw MB, back 1 throw MB and traited 112 down back 1 meter burn).

As for activating your trait you can do it mid combo after you do a back 3, but for me it's hard as fuck to do it (input is b3 -> d2 and 4 immediately -> d2 again before he falls and then immediately db2 meter burn to continue the combo and have the trait active).

the guy who made the vid replied to me that the way to play Grodd is to rely on back 2 close leap 2 and after that you either go with forward-3 (initiates juggle and must be blocked high) or the back-1 throw (continues the combo with meter burn and gives you free back-3 off that, must be blocked low).

Too bad that correctly inputting this close leap shit is just fucking impossible for me. It's way too much buttons to time right for me rn. I don't know if I have Input Shortcuts turned on though, it may be what fucks me over and makes Grodd do the fucking ground pound which I basically never wanna do.

Anyway I'm just keen on getting good with Grodd, even if he isn't high tier.
