I dare not hope for trunks
but i cant help it, at least we're getting Reeves Supes for sure
If given the opportunity, what kind of Superman story would you write?
>>92773701
Amen to that
>>92773701
>Manhattan can't have a blue dong in the open as that would make it a mature book
>Steals Superman's trunks to detract from the character, has done this with the splitting of Superman
>Doomsday Clock should end just before Action Comics #1000
>Yfw trunks are coming back
Short storytime of happiness

I see this get posted a lot in Superman threads, but I NEVER get to see the next page. How does glowy ninja lady respond?
This is right after Superman came back from the dead

Even though reading this era is a total clusterfuck of crossovers with Supergirl, Superboy, Superman: Man of Steel, Adventures of Superman, Superman, and Action Comics, there's something really great about it.
Mark Millar wrote an issue of Wonder Woman about Cassie Sandsmark wanting Superboy's dick really bad and finally getting that awkward teen boy lip action at the end, it's actually a great issue.
I think the trademark thing may be a subtle reference to how there was all this legal trouble concerning who owned the name "Superboy", but I don't think that was a big thing for a few years later.
"Party in the Back" Superman
Speaking of trunks, I have this mug that has Superman's designs through the ages on it, and the last one is the godawful New 52 one, and recently while visiting my mom I had to explain to her why he didn't have the trunks any longer in that last image.
>>92770878
should have been
>He's an Alien from Krypton, son.
to keep the rhyme.
Now there's some body horror.
>>92774771
>total clusterfuck of crossovers
There wasn't a book for Supergirl or Superboy at the time.
Matrix was in Action and Kon was Adventures.
So, four titles isn't too hard to follow , as far as these things go.
>>92774737
Pffft ha ha, BURN!
Superman leaves to beat Savage Dragon's ass.
>>92774919
Ah, right, Superboy came after Reign was over.
Which I guess is why his plot is being kinda wrapped up in this issue as well.
JIMMY! MY PAL!
Oh, I love Bibbo.
>See, it's like poetry, it rhymes
>>92774976
I love how half of Kon's love interests were grown women.
Thanks for reading. Makes me want to read this whole era over again.

Yea knight fall and the death and return of superman seem like a fun way to read alot of books unlike clone saga

The acting was horrible, but man this was a wholesome short movie.
I wish that they had this sort of wholesome supes in the DCEU instead of the brooding jesus metaphor we got instead. A everyday man,

So what excuse did they use so he could be clark again?

Supergirl (Matrix) impersonated Clark and they staged a "I was buried alive all this time!" rescue.

My favorite Elseworld.
I need to find a copy of it.

All his friends favorite snacks. And those giant pretzels he likes.
>>92770643
I don't it, what was Element Girl's relationship with Superman?
>>92784640
Ditto. It's the type of crossover you'd expect to happen sooner
>>92788588
I think someone just requested something cute between her and Superman in a draw thread. It sometimes happens because its fun to show Clark with different characters. I requested pic related for example.
I want to read a comic series about Clark in his college years, exploring Metropolis for the first time, his early experience with some of his villains, dating the mermaid spy.
>>92788984
Same, I also think it'd be neat to bring back old Golden Age villains. Some of them were actually pretty cool.
>>92789308
I would bring back the villains with their super weapons from the Max Fleischer cartoons. The Bulleteers and their bullet car, the Mad Scientist and his death ray, etc
That's a nice character you got there /co/. Be a shame if something were to happen to him.
>>92774643
Action Comics 808, basically she stops blaming Superman

>80s/90s watercolor style
Why did they ever stop?
>Obligatory Killing Joke original vs recolor comment
Bolland is an idiot, I respect that he has his own opinions on how his style "should" be colored, but the original colors are perfect and he ruined it.

It's at the fortress, so let's say food for the alien zoo creatures.

That's some of the greatest imagery I've ever heard of.

I'm not sure I understand the question.

>>92792115
If you could write a Superman comic, what would you have happen?
>>92790726
That was a good issue.
>>92788967
CUTE.
>>92792310
Girl 13, Natasha Irons and Cir-El, right?
Cir-El would look great in Rule 63 Superman's clothes
>>92792246
I'm reading through all of Adventures of Superman at the moment and it has some interesting character designs and other artistic decisions here and there.
>>92774455
I wouldn't be surprised if Johns thought of that image in the process of thinking out Rebirth.
>>92792609
>>92792310
I'd reboot a classic Superman villain to have more pathos/be more threatening/unique.
Like Metallo or Parasite or something.
>>92792689
How would you write a sympathetic Parasite? Because I think that'd be interesting.
>>92793093
I found American Alien to be a tragic Parasite, as Landis used Rudy as an allegory for substance abuse rather than Avavice as Johns did.
I think there's a lot to mine from Lex using Rudy to advance his own goals.
>>92793093
I'd play up how he can absorb people's memories and thoughts.
Maybe he becomes smarter every time he drains someone, based on how intelligent/well-experienced that person was.
As a human, he was just a schlubby janitor. And as Parasite, he's a shambling mindless monster who can only think about eating.
So whenever he drains people (especially Superman), he gets a chance to be BETTER.
He should be deathly afraid of becoming a base, mindless nobody again.

>>92771523
Friendly reminder that the town is run by the Elites.
>>92793331
>>92792689
I'd basically make Parasite into First Form Cell, with the creep and cunning attached
>>92793304
would it be like a temporary thing?
he drains someone and gets the sudden rationality and realization of the monstrosity hes become along with the fear that soon enough (depending on the vitality of the drainee) he'll descent back in to the mindless hunger of Parasite?
>>92774831
I'm loving the not-Fantastic Four.
>>92793452
Oh, definitely.
I was imagining an arc that revises his first encounters with Superman; in their 'final' fight, as Supes is trying to lead him into a trap, Parasite feels his Superman-gained intelligence and memories rapidly slipping away, and is basically reduced to begging Superman to let him drain him again; he doesn't want to revert.

I'm okay with that.

Earth 11 is the Rule 63 Earth (Morrison also had it in Multiversity - but essentially, Aquawoman is there, as is Batwoman (female Bruce, not either of the Kanes, etc.) and Superwoman.
So instead of a Supergirl Kara, they have Superlad. He appears in a Batman/Superman arc from the '00 series that's actually pretty fun. It features Supermen and Batman from across the multiverse in parts. The only other canon appearance of Earth 11 is in the Search for Ray (The Atom) Palmer and that's only Super Woman (again Rule 63) and Bat Woman from Earth 11. Their Amazons are men on that Earth, BTW.

Honestly are these people retarded? Superman isn't omnipotent, he can't be everywhere at once.
>>92774002
Have a story set in the early years of Superman's career where he teams up with a group of characters that ran along side him in Action Comics.
