How did they get away with blood on Rugrats?
Cause it was supposed to teach kids that blood is part of you so don't freak out and that a cut will eventually heal on it's own.

Nobody in 1992 had a mangina

FUCKING MILLENNIALSTOP
>>92726700
different time etc. etc.
I think context is important. Getting a cut on your finger is something every kid deals with, its no big deal. Showing blood in a fight shows how much damage is being done.
>>92726700
Context matters.
>>92726700
Even today, Nick still does blood. See The Loud House or Spongebob. It's CN who are fucking pussies
>>92726700
I remember when they got away with blood on Doug and found it surreal.
How'd they get away with teaching kids how to deal with loss?
Why is blood such a touchy thing in kids shows? Same with the word "kill."
"I will destroy you!" So fucking awkward.
>>92728759
Wait, what?
>>92726700
Wow. Didn't know Rugrats was so grimdark.

CRAWLING IN MY CRIB

>Or maybe he's dead
>That'll surprise Chuckie alright
>>92728947
He had a paper cut. I was like "woah," blood on Doug.
This always bugged me.
Why is showing people getting electrocuted okay, but blood is a big no no?
Kids see blood all the damn time, why is it such a taboo?
This episode use to creep me out when stuffing started exploding out of Tommy's finger and leg.
>>92730025
That was much worse than the blood.
>>92729660
THESE OWIES WILL NEVER HEAL
>>92726700
Because people have blood. Usually it comes out when you have mishaps, like as a kid.
After seeing that "disturbed me as a kid," thread I'm starting to be convinced that many of my similarly-aged compatriots are a bunch of coddled, padded-room products of their environment.
Because this show was jewish propaganda
>>92730072
Agreed.
It's not much to get away with. It's just a kid bleeding.
>>92728946
Who knows. Kids know what fucking blood is and I'm sure they've heard the word kill before and know what it means. Who are these idiots trying to protect?
>>92728946
Moral guardians going overboard.
Remember there was a time in animation where "no conflict" was a rule.

Nice.
