So that Dipper wouldn't obsess over her. I personally hated those pining episodes, even though I knew that each one was supposed to contain a small lesson for Dipper, because he never really learned the big lesson of getting over it. Even after "Into the Bunker" the lesson never stuck and Dipper would go back to that lame crush that would never lead to any real development for any character, and would only serve as a waste of time with some small moral of the day at the end.

Anon let me suggest something: If you watch Star Vs. the way I do, i.e. cut out every filler episode that involves exploring somethng other than "star meets this earth thing and waaaaacky shit happens and watch only the episodes where you experience something from Mewnie or another dimension, and plot-related episodes, you have a damn good show.

The filler seriously fucking ruins this show.

HELL NO. Star is fine for a one time mediocre watch but that's it. I could rewatch Gravity Falls' episodes over and over forever and I'd still love them, same with Wander. But Star is just almost all filler between uninteresting shipping and plot points. It's an enjoyable ride for a one time binge watch, but it's not unique or great in any way. Literally the epitome of good enough.

To add to my rant. The parts with Buff Frog and that one with the spider in the wand were legitimately amazing and more of what I want from western animation. However, the episodes inbetween feel so low quality.
