Lars' skin and hair turn pink, like Lion's mane.
Lars' hair seems to act like Lion's mane, as a portal to Rose's pocket dimension. Lars' hair is entry point, Lion's mane is exit point (and will likely be vice-versa), enabling Steven to return home, likely to warn Crystal Gems.
