Everybody always thinks about how a villain's gimmick fits into their lifestyle. For a lot of them that's probably true; guys like Toyman, Riddler, and Mad Hatter are obsessive autists. If you've ever met somebody who is really into one thing, they're probably like that- all Toyman thinks about is getting, playing with, or making toys, and Hatter is into everything Alice.

But other people have to have other interests. When he isn't working on puzzles or watching gameshows, Gotham established that Riddler liked to cook. Its something meticulous and scientific but also has a whole factor that suits his showy nature.

I realize that a lot of villains are just there to be punching bags for heroes, but a lot of them have been around so long that its weird we don't know more about them as people.

I always imagine Joker is basically a murderous Krusty the Clown, except he actually cares about his material. He's got a bunch of criminal yes men around him getting him to sign off on things while he works on material. Then he goes out to comedy clubs or watches golden age comedies.

I feel like you would only be able to give villains with minimal powers actual sedintary lifestyles.
Take for instance Riddler's day to day life versus someone like Mr.Freeze's life.
Riddler is normal enough to have hobbies and isn't too obsessed with something to enjoy them.
Freeze's condition both physical and mental make it very unbelievable that he'd even want to do anything but think of more ways to save Nora.

We've seen Captain Cold bringing home groceries, and no reason to believe he didn't shop for them. He's also been seen watching TV. All the Rogues drink a lot and play cards together frequently, the second Mirror Master does coke, the second Trickster plays his Gameboy a lot, and the Rogues hideout has been shown with a gaming system set up. Plus Cold goes to hockey games, sometimes with a hooker, and he sleeps with her once a week. The Top had a girlfriend, who later became the Golden Glider, and she later had other boyfriends.
